Hey folks. Just wondering if anybody within reading range is pretty savvy with installing car strero speakers, and otherwise troubleshooting (what I think) is going to be a super simple issue?
So yeah... if you do side work with car audio, or you want to make a few bucks and you're intimately familar with opening up a door panel on a Speed6, let me know. I'm hoping to keep it in the great DTC/Centennial area.
PM me, or give me a call. 720-nineThreefive-6438

PM OCD (Eric) I'm pretty sure he used to do that for a living a while back. Not sure he'll have the time to help but worth a shot.

I'm always hitting up Eric for install help. Hahaha...
Maybe though; lemme see if he replies here first, and then I'll see what's up.

Brandon, what are you wanting to do?

Well.... the gist of the issue is that something appears to have shaken itself loose in my door panel. I used to have a pretty air-tight sound when my bass would hit, but now I'm getting a bad rattle from my passenger door. Driver side is still fine. And it's not like I'm cranking it up to 11, either. (?)
Anyhow.... I'm guessing that a clip or a clamp or a screw or a "blah" has either broken or shaken itself loose. The vibration/rattle that comes from the door, is extra-horrible when my window is rolled down.
I was thinking that a disassemble/reassemble would probably find the culprit, but I'd like everything to be locktight'd down. I also don't know much about Dynamat, but I would also consider having some put in, if it's worthwile in preventing this from ever happening again. Or at least making it less likely.

if its a rattle, removing the door panel gives easy access to the speaker, and like you said, disassemble/reassemble would probably cure the issue. I take door panels off in my sleep, so Id be willing to check into it for you

Well if you're down to give it a looksee Eric, I'm down to buy the materials or widgits that will cure whatever is ailing it. I'm just actually kinda surprised how it went from sounding so nice, to being such a noticable rattle. I feel like blaming Lil' Wayne, but he has his own troubles to worry about.
Either way man, thanks... I will be in touch!

I know a thing or two about installs

anyways,,, ya sounds like probably have a loose or broken clip in your door panel.. If its a rattle then thats more than likely your problem.. Doing any kinda of matting on your door will help stop the rattle from your door skin and also create a tighter Frequencey response in your mids which will create a tighter smoother sound. Dynamat, hush mat, Dead Skin, or any other brand of stuff will work good.. I would look around and not just go with Dynamat. You will usually find that dynamat is sometimes more expensive. Installing it is not easy, but not hard either as long as you have patients and time.. And make sure you do it right the first time cuz its not fun when you miss place the peice of mat.

Thanks Memphis, I'll look into it... That's a drag about the install not being super easy, but I'll see what these guys think.
