So this is my latest project. It is taking kinda a while but as I go I am picking up the pace. It was kinda scary when I started. The hardest part was getting all the hog rings off and actually cutting the original seats up. Eeeeek!!!!

After you cut there's no turning back though. So I had to troop on. I ran out of thread today so had to stop production but this is what I got. I figure since this actually is turning out pretty good I'll do all the seats myself.

Let me know what you all think of the texture combo. It is Black on Black, Carbon Fiber on Perferated.

Close Up. You can see a mistake already. Oh well, you won't see it when your but is over it.

"It's not easy what I just did!"

Looks pretty darned good. Different fabrics, especially with curves, can be tricky. I watch my wife sew simple things like curtains, and it looks complicated to me.

LOL... Yeah I like to try and do lots of different things. I try to atleast be good at everything I do. I'm not a very good serial killer though. Martha takes the cake for that.

It's coming out pretty well and it's a whole lot cheaper than buyin them or having someone else do it. Plus it's a good learning experiance. So far It's like less than $70 bucks a seat. i still have enough material to do the backrest. So that will put me @ like $280 for all 4. Not bad.

Wow, good job. I'm pretty handy with a wrench, but I would never take on something like that. I would just call Katskin. You must have some heavy duty sewing machine, huh?

Ummm... Progress is still where I left it. I just woke up. Got home real late. Was out campig all weekend and was off roading with the 8. Will post pics of that later. Hopefully I'll have one full seat done by BBQ time.

Bump date. I've been lazy after getting the bottom cusion done. Seeing that the 8 will be at mazda service I will start on the back rest. Pictures will come when the back rest is done. Then I only have 3 Seats to do. :D Uh yeah......
