iPhone-ers, checkout REV...AWESOME

Postby mOOsE » Tue Sep 23, 2008 9:14

Just noticed REV on the appstore, full version to bring a wireless OBD2 interface with some additional hardware to monitor all sorts of data right from your iphone or touch.

Quick vid I saw on youtube about it too...

should be accurate, the full version will require their OBD2 plug-in adapter. It IS wifi though which is nice. So you can leave it plugged into the OBD port and still have your phone or ipod touch on the dash or wherever displaying the data.

I was looking at this the other day. If it works, it should be a pretty sweet application.

I just downloaded the app on my I phone. It's pretty sweet. All of the features are

Acceleration in G's (Lateral and Forward)
Vehicle Speed
RPM
Fuel Consumption
Engine Coolant Temp
Fuel Pressure
Calculated Engine Load
Throttle Position
Intake Manifold Pressure (Boost)
Air Intake Temp
Timing Advance
Mass Air Flow
Fuel Level
Barometric Pressure
EVAP Pressure
Fuel Trim Short B1
Fuel Trim Long B1
Fuel Trim Short B2
Fuel Trim Long B2

MHSD is asking about the hardware to hook it up. We'll try it As soon as it's possible.

im hoping they add some sort of datalog to it as well (dare I say ability to clear CEL's too), instead of just readouts. Even if its jpegs or something that I can email, it would be awesome.

The app said it had the ability to clear codes. Not sure if it can Data Log.

^Sweet! Keep us posted!

This if off topic, but did you by chance drive by Sill-Terhar Mazda last Saturday (20th) sometime in the afternoon? Traveling West and turned left onto the road that leads to the Ford dealer.

http://www.digimoto.com/

I bought this for my brother before he got his Snap-on scanner. It works great. Remember, it's not tuning software, but it will data log, clear cels, etc.

Digimoto is a software application that uses a black box interface to talk to your vehicle. It is an application that is used primarily to assist in vehicle diagnostics (reading sensors, clearing error codes), but also offers many other valuable tools. It can also be used to measure vehicle performance and the state of your vehicle's systems at any given point in time.

Our hardware is compatible with the ISO15765-4 (CAN), ISO14230-4 (KWP2000), ISO9141-2, J1850 VPW and the J1850 PWM protocols. All OBDII compliant vehicles will work with our solution. Are you sure your vehicle is OBDII compliant? Read our "Will it work on my car?" FAQ.

Digimoto consists of 13 distinct modules:Real Time Sensor Charts, Diagnostic Trouble Codes,Sensor Grid, Quarter Mile Stats,Dyno Statistics, Data Logging, Freeze Frame Data, Serial Interface, Gauges, Oxygen Sensor Diagnostics and Vehicle Test Monitoring, Vehicle Snapshots and Digimoto Online integration.
