Front bumper Mod

Postby Number2 » Fri Jul 29, 2011 9:14

What's up my furry little friends?!

I modded the front bumper of the speed today, giving it a more aggressive look IMO. I didn't want to paint it, and when I tried having my tint guy work on it, he wasn't able to successfully apply the vinyl without tearing it. Enter Electrical tape. It isn't perfect, but it looks good for what I want it to. That lower part of the front bumper lip gets pretty hammered in regular city driving anyway.

Items used:
1 1/4" Black electrical tape (x2) - 2 strips
Scissors
Exacto blade (sharp)
Heat gun
Lots of patience!

@ Karl - No there aren't any seams.

@ Geo - What you say? I haven't left. If I'm not posting, I'm at least lurking :)

This guy did on his white speed3.

He used the same electrical tape technique as the lower bumper, but decided after a week that he didn't like it. To him it was 'too much rice.'
