so i just put bigger wheels on my 6, and its rubbing on all four, i need to flare them out maybe 1/8-1/4" all around
now i know there is tools that i can get to do this, but if i can have a shop do it nice and not too expensive id rather go that route. im pretty clueless as to where i would go for something like this, so any help would be appreciated!

2nd, baseball bat is an old and good trick. You can also use a hammer handle. I have used both in the past with great results. Be aware of the possibilty of the paint chipping. That's what the heat gun will help with prior to "rolling".

The trick to the baseball method is to just take your time and thoroughly heat up the paint. I try to get the surface to at least 150*F (measured with my infrared temp gun). I used the baseball bat method on the rear fenders of my RX-8 and it was easy. I the used the Eastwood Fender Finisher tool (basically a pair of a big pliers with rubber teeth) to do the front fenders.
I used an aluminum bat but I heard wooden bats work better? Not sure...
It was easy and turned out good, but this time around on the FD I'm using a proper roller...

Sounds like there is a lot of interest in this, you all should put together a meet and just rent the tool and do a bunch of cars.
