Another bulb died on me

. I want to switch to the HID bulbs but I'm not sure what kind of work that requires. Is it as easy as putting the HID bulbs in? Please educate me

You mean a HID kit?!? As a HID bulb isn't a simple plug and play. You mention you want to switch, so I take it you have halogen bulbs. Let me know, what you want to do. I may have an extra ballast set laying around. In the meantime, I suggest SilverStar Ultra's or Philips Night Guide.

I wasn't sure about HID's in all honesty. But after researching, I just can't drop that kind of money until summer. I was looking at getting the Hella bulbs to replace the low, high and fog lights. The install seems easy enough.
Operator, I honestly don't know what kind of bulbs I have in my car. :/ All I know is that they are yellow and one is out lol.
T:... stop ragging on my car.

DDMtuning.com that's where I bought my HID kit....6000k for $45 shipped...Apexcone Raptors.. It comes with everything you'll need and the install isn't too bad...if you can replace your headlight you can install these...as far as the quality...no issues at all so far so good :-)

$45 for a kit?!!! I've been seeing some for $300... I don't need to sign away rights to a kidney or anything right?
Edit:
Checked them out and they don't have a kit that would fit my car

I think the Mazda 3 uses a H7 bulb...correct me if I'm wrong..that's the same as mine...

For the low beams yeah. I want to replace everything so it looks uniform. That means I need an HB3 and an H11 to fight the high and fog. I think I'm just going to go with the Hella's I found. They're a bit expensive but I might be able to get them at a discount.

The H11 might be hard to fit in the fogs...as they are longer than the normal bulb...adding some luminics H11's would be better...standard bulb better color and brightness...same with the brights...why spend $70 on standard bulbs when you can get HIDs and a set of luminics for the same basic price..

What did you have to buy for the install of the HID for your car? I am guessing you got the 55W Raptor option. Are luminics bulbs I can buy anywhere?

Streetunit for the Luminics...and I bought the 35w...you can go with the 55w...there have been several people that bought them and had no issue with them...also the 55w will be slightly brighter than the 35w...each kit comes with all you need for a 30 minute install...at most

HID's in the low beams = YES. HID's in non-projector fogs or highbeams = NO!!!. Honestly spend the money for the DDM kit...... Get some HID match halogens for your fogs. And in all honesty how ofter do you use your highs?!? And DDM has H7 kits that will fit your high beams, just make sure they send you the adapter piece. And though I'm not for it, H11's HID's will fit in the fogs.

Hmm... how do you install? Does it replace lows only?

The DDM kit will take care of the lows. And I'm only in Wellington, if you want some help with the install. I've installed more HID kits than I care to remember.
