It takes a little getting used to the insane level of grip! I have to remind myself that the winters are off and I can now drive. Makes me want to hit up HPR bad.

Saul you might be able to help me out with this too. I want to get a set of 17" wheels and tires for track use. I'm just not sure what size wheel (17x?) or what size tire for said wheels. Just knowing that standard 3 wheels fit the ms3 and using the old tire rack it says the OE recommendation is 205/50-17. Can I go wider than 205? Any recommendations?

I recall my stock mz3 wheels being 17x7. Lowered on eibachs, I don't think I was even close to rubbing. I'm pretty sure you could run some 225 on there. That may actually be what I had. I forget the aspect ratio.

I ran 225s on my 3 with the Eibachs. Plenty 'o room.

Columbiana, Assuming your stock wheels are 17x7, 215/45/17 should be a good size that maximizes your 7in width.

If the offset is right, i think you can get a 17x8 or 17x8.5 wheel and squeeze 245/40/17 on. I'd triple check with the MS3 forums to be sure tho. If not, then 17x8 with 225/40/17.

Just be sure to get the proper offset.
