Well, I haven't got mine yet, but I very well may. Summer tires on snow are bad enough, but summer tires that are already in need of replacing makes it even that much more interesting. I was doing the 10mph drift all the way to work this morning, haha!

Ok, well it wasn't THAT bad, but still, I need to replace my tires.

Hope this isn't a re-link, but I thought these tires were an interesting idea.

I couldn't take my son to school until 0900. Lincoln and HR Pkwy were icy and snow-covered, but I was having fun at 40. Great w/ snows!

The two best rated studless snow tires are Michilens X Ice and Bridgestones Blizzaks. I went for the number 2 rated Blizzaks on 16" rims for my 2008 Mazda 3. I must say I am impressed with them. I blew by most people this morning with control of the car. I had to do a few tests like locking up the brakes and pounding the gas to see how the car would handle before I got into the heavy mix of traffic. Dynamic Stablilty Control kept me skidding in straight line and the Traction Control shifted flawless keeping me in a straight line while the tires were spinning.

Car handled like a dream on the snow and ice this morning. Kept my 4 to 5 car length distance from others most of the time and blew by them at 45 MPH when I saw a safe opprotunity to pass.

I had an hour and 15 minutes of it on a drive that generally takes 35 minutes.

Was not me I did most my tire spinning on the dirt road on the 1/2 mile I live off of leading to 285 up in the mountains and a little bit in Aspen Park when I hit the real roads. Work down in Sedalia and 470 was a mess when I hit Wadsworth. Freaking parking lot for a mile. Santa Fe was just a sheet of ice because the slackers do not put CroMag cloride or sand down on the road to de-ice this road from Castle Rock to 470 LOL

For as much money as I'd spend on snow tires for the 3, I could find a winter beater to drive instead for the same price! Cheapest Blizzaks deal I found was through the "homie hook up" $730 for tires, mounting and balancing. Tires alone are $158. So the dude would pretty much cut me some slack on the mounting and balancing. Barely. Lame. So stock tires it is for now.
