Wow, I've gotta thank MazdaTom again for the Cardomain hook up. $37 shipped for my Goodridge brake lines was a steal! The cheapest I'm seeing them anywhere else is $135. I added the SS clutch line to go with it, and I'm excited to get these put on. I've already received the brake lines, just waiting on the clutch line.

If anyone ever wants to stop by when I'm doing installs, feel free to PM me. This prob won't happen for a couple of weeks.

Clutch line?? assuming same thing as a brake line?

Very nice!! I wanted some stainless lines.

Yeah, that Cardomain thing was the phat hookup for sure. I got an Injen intake for about $100 cheaper than normal.

You should be happy with those SS lines. I put them on my old Saturn track car. I had a factory rubber line explode on me while slowing for a red light. I replaced them with SS.

I've had SS lines on a few of my cars, last car was the MG. Definitely liked the results.

how hard is it to upgrade...do you need to bleed the brake system?

yup, you need to bleed them. But i dont know how hard the install is.

Yup, you need to bleed. The install itself is painless, although I've read the clutch line is a PITA.

Install on a car without rusted/corroded brake line attachments is easy. The problem I ran into with my Saturn was that the flare nut had permanently attached itself to the hard line. So when I twisted the flare nut, the hard line also twisted. So to make a long and painful story short, I drove it to the dealership (about 4 miles) with no brakes (used the hand brake, engine to slow down and went during a very low traffic time) and they straightened out some of the slack in the hard line to regain the needed length to make the attachment. Fun fun. But that car was about 12 years old at the time and had spent about 10 winters in Wisconsin collecting all that winter nasty stuff.

Same way on the rear of my MG. Those were a bugger to get off. Fronts were easy, the numerous oil leaks up front kept all bolts nicely lubed.

Took a couple of weeks, but the clutch line is finally on the way. Hoerr Racing was very good at communicating that the part wasn't in stock and letting me know when it would ship. Yeah! Install fun coming next weekend (probably Monday, since I have V-Day off and the girl won't complain about me working on the car.)

I'm thinking it's over. I just checked the site and their store is offline until sometime in November as they update it. Keep checking though....funny, my clutch line was nearly as much as the brake line kit!

Ok, so NOW the clutch line is on its way. Finally got a tracking number, and it gets here on Friday. I was thinking of painting the calipers too, but I'll wait until after winter.
