Good transmission shop in C Springs?

Postby speedjunkie » Mon Jun 23, 2014 9:14

I'm looking to get both my transmissions rebuilt, although one of them is currently in Mike's car in New Mexico lol. So I'm looking for a good, reliable shop that won't screw me over, and that automatically rules out AAMCO.

Either that or I need some really long puller arms and I'll do the rebuild myself. Although I've thought about maybe having the gears cryo treated or something, just trying to beef up the transmission. I've never really had a need to beef it up though.

I'm also thinking about having my engine bay painted again, this time with a real paint gun and a real painter doing it lol. I'm wondering if Cody is still around or if someone else can do it in my garage.

Have you tried Jacks Transmissions here in town?

I thought about Jacks but I think they're only doing GTRs now. I was told they don't even do DSM anymore, which was their bread and butter for years. Plus, they kinda pissed me off a few years ago lol. I might give them a call though.
