Mine's similar to yours...didn't wrap it. Wouldn't think it would make much of a difference. Thats a wild recirc pipe on that bad boy, looks like a nice peice.

So I got around to installing this today.....First impressions....VERY GOOD....
-With the CX-7 in auto mode the shifts are usually kinda rough...it seems to shift a lot smoother....Also smoother in the auto-stick mode....
-As far as performance....It feels like it pulls a little harder and quicker off the line and through the all gears...
-Install wasn't bad at all....I decided to take my time and make sure I didn't break nothing....so about 1 hour and 45 minutes....Only issue I ran into was tightening the clamp on the turbo side...just a pain in the ass....other than that...not bad at all
Just like everyone else that installed this on there car...YES the factory inlet just slid right off....GOOD JOB MAZDA....
One other thing is the Forge BPV sounds different....a little quieter....but more like a BOV not a mouse sneezing....
To anyone thinking about this purchase....GO FOR IT....$100 for a well made product with overall positive benefits...

Hehe yep, getting at that turbo clamp was a pain. Have to go real slow so you don't drop the ratchet. And yep, my stock inlet wasn't even tightened down on the turbo either. Enjoy having lots more turbo whistle goodness!

With the turbo inlet the stock BPV is much more noticeable so you might just be hearing normal releases just a little louder now.
