I have the Cobb turbo inlet and love it. But I also have the Cobb SF intake, so I'm not sure how it would fit on the CP-E intake. You might want to look into the CP-E one to fit your intake better. It's the most expensive of the three though. The PG one is way cheaper but I've read people have had debris from the inlet end up damaging their turbo. I don't know if it's true or not but just hearing a story like that made me stay away from it. Also, the PG inlet is metal, so it can absorb heat from the engine bay and potentially heat up the air coming in. Both the Cobb and CP-E inlets are silicone which resists heat.

Rush, let me know when you're ready to buy and maybe we can get a bit of a hook-up from a dual purchase. (?)

I like the looks of the Cobb piece, and I like that fact that it's silicone and not aluminium.

I cant stand how flimsy and unsecure the cobb inlet is when installed on the speed3's, dont know how it is in comparison, but the Cp-e has a bolt ring to mount the inlet to the same spot as the stock inlet. The Cp-e definitely feels much more secure on my car than the Cobb does on other cars..but this could be due to the design differences between each model?

The Silicone will quiet things a bit, while the aluminum will make things louder.

I've read good things and bad things on all of them....So I'm undecided still....Price may be a factor since I'm working on my stereo system too...

Sound is not a real issue....I want quality for sure....I like my CP-E intake a lot....I've had it for almost 2 years now and not a single issue... I have had Corksport products before and they were good also...Not too many Cobb products for the CX-7...but I know fan boys/girls love their products...Haven't heard too much about the PG inlet....HMMMMMM...choices:confused:

Nevermind, mine's spoken for.

I believe the PG is still backordered.

The one i have on my car is awesome, no problems...just the sweet sound of the turbo spooling!

Yea I do wish there was a bracket to bolt the Cobb inlet to the same place the stock one is bolted. As long as your clamps are tight though there shouldn't be too much of an issue with it moving around. And if you get a stiff motor mount that will help keep the engine from moving around in the engine bay so even less likely that the inlet will pop off or something.

If the aluminum ones are even louder than silicone, wow, lol. My wife thought something was broken with my car the first time I took her for a ride with the intake and inlet installed. "It sounds like it's leaking". hehehe

After reading a little more about all of them....I think I'm gonna go with the Corksport inlet.....It's a solid 1 piece unlike the PG inlet which looks like it's 2 pieces welded together....There are a few CX-7's with the Corksport and they say it fits well....I guess that's an issue with some of the others...Plus it's $89....

$89 sounds like a steal; nice purchase. I have someting setup soon too, so I guess nevermind on the group buy.

Oh yeah... let me know when you want to sell that CX-7. =)

I was looking at the engine bay in my car....and it does look like a pain....but we'll see...

Barn...I'll be the test dummy for this:lol:....and if it's good it will save you $50 to $100 over Cobb or CP-E...Oh ya...you'll be the first to know if I'm gonna sell....

It looks way worse than it actually is. Once you get the battery and battery tray out of there it's actually pretty easy to get at everything, assuming your engine bay is set up similar to mine. The toughest part, at least on the MS3, is getting at the clamp on the turbo. Mine was already loose from the factory though, heh.
