My MS3 with ~750 miles on it fairly consistently grinds on a shift from third to first or second to first, and sometimes from first gear going into second, and there's a good deal of resistance at the entrance to both first and second gear that I have to push/pull through. There's also usually a delay in shifting gears due to the resistance.
Am I wrong in thinking that's abnormal transmission behavior for a virtually brand-new car? The car had 100 miles on it when I bought it, and I can only think how it was abused through those first 100 dealer-lot miles (trip computer's average mpg. was also below 12 mpg
) but do you guys think that's something actionable to take to the dealership?
On another note, I'm noticing a fairly high-pitched rubbing noise/vibration through the wheel when after being on the highway, I get off and make a left turn at lower speeds. Have any of you encountered anything like this?
Thanks.
