My Blast Cabinet Build

Postby Wankel88 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 9:14

So im goona start powder coating stuff and media blasting is the fastest way to strip/clean down parts. I was curious and found many diy home made ovens which i plan on doing next, but i thought to myself y not build my own cabinet? I decided to go with wood and line the inside of the cabinet with sheet metal that way the walls wont ware down fast. Its a work in progress.

Sweet! That's a little more involved than my little wall cabinet. Haha. Good work.

What are the dimensions on the cabinet? Wondering how big of parts you will be able to handle.

Also, looks like you are prepping to put the sheet metal on the outside of the frame. If so seems like you will end up with a lot of media on the 2x4 ledge even with the fan. Also, that would leave exposed wood in there. I'm probably way off based on your description though.

Sweet project?

I'm first in line for wheels!
