so i want to run a 40 DCOE weber carb but my 7 still pass emissions? understanding mazda, they had to put a bunch of useless crap to get it the rotary to pass emissions (ok maybe not so useless but i like my carbs to be simple) and knowing my dad, he wont let me strip my carb (or take the cats off) :/ lol

The Weber could probably pass emissions, but it might take a couple of tries.

Well, it may need to be rejetted or otherwise adjusted to pass emissions, its hard to say, although a DCOE can be a serious PITA to get right and is not nec the best thing for a street car. A better choice honestly might be a Holley setup.

it would be very hard to get to pass and it will not pass the visual.

The nikki is a great carb ant the car will run great if it is tuned right. One of these days we need to meet up so I can help you figure out what you want out of your car before you start just pulling things. A lot of what you see on sites like RX-7 Club is crap.
