Well, I had planned on only paying off a loan with this deployment, but it turns out I'll have quite a bit left over so I've already given in and bought some parts, some of which just today haha. I have a few projects in mind, and I'm super stoked about getting home and getting to work.
OMP adapter- I actually bought this last year but I never got an extra reservoir to use for the 2-cycle. If you don't know about this, it's from Richard Sohn and it blocks the engine oil and pulls 2-cycle from a separate reservoir. In addition to this, I believe I might make the full switch to synthetic oil. Anyway, like I said, I've had the actual adapter since last year. I bought a 1.5 quart tank from US Plastics today, along with a removable strainer and vented cap.

Instead of using just a plastic hose, I'm going to try to use steel braided line with fittings on the ends (like in the regan rotary racing writeup below) so I can tighten them down and hopefully they won't leak. Also, I bought a Mikuni OMP from a 99-up FD. It's a little shorter than the one on the original FDs, and should give me enough clearance past my oil dump hose, and hopefully will make it easier for my OMP lines to fit too. Here are the writeups...
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=810299 http://www.reganrotaryracing.com/fd2stroke.htm
Dual EGT monitoring- I did alot of reading about people datalogging their EGTs but I don't tune my own car so I didn't figure I needed to go that far. I'll modify it later to work if I get into tuning myself. However, I DO want to monitor my EGTs, like I currently monitor AFRs. EGTs are even more helpful, especially when you run a sensor just off each rotor like I'm going to do, mounted just a couple inches off the engine in the turbo manifold. I still wanted sensors that react fast enough and I wanted some that screw into the bungs, not the ones that clamp around the piping, so I got two of these beauties...
http://tscsensors.com/egtep0720001ssnexhau.html
And Pineapple makes a setup strictly for the rotary, but it was a bit pricier and I wasn't sure what kind of sensors it used and no one would get back to me, so I got this gauge to go with the sensors...
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=4861
By the way, for a rotary, you want to make sure you get one that goes up past 1600*F. These go up to 2000*F, like the Pineapple gauge.
Also for the EGT setup, since I'm tapped out on gauge mounting locations, and because I was never fully satisfied with my setup (it works and looks decent, but I like 'different'), I've decided to move my three gauges that are currently in my DIN up onto the dash, and put the EGT gauge up there too. I've always kinda liked the Japanese style of mounting the gauges on the dash individually, but I still wanted it to be clean. I had a couple ideas before, but it was just too much work at the time. Now I've decided on something in the same direction but a little easier.
http://www.autotechinteriors.com/mazdarx-7epod1993-199552mmctrspeakerreplacementwaudiogrill.aspx
The only problem is, I still need to figure out how to mount two more gauges there. I was thinking about just getting a few of the pods...
http://www.autotechinteriors.com/hondacivicezpod200652mm-rightside.aspx
...and make my own speaker-replacement mount, but I might get the two-pod unit above and then figure out how to mount one more on each side. THEN, I've also been thinking about getting rid of my three gauge pod on the A-pillar and doing three of these pods there too. Basically modify the stock A-pillar to fit three of these pods. I like it because they're adjustable, and also because it's different and I love the look.
Fast reacting air temp sensor- I actually bought this thing a few weeks ago already and almost forgot about it. I really only got it because the stock ATS is very slow reacting, so the computer is making fuel adjustments for temps that are a few minutes old already. This way the computer will make adjustments that are much more accurate. So far, pretty much everyone that has installed it said their car runs much better now.
http://www.wannaspeed.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83_158_162&products_id=180&zenid=31d5bf3542790f1f66201e475b48cdf2
Injector Dynamics injectors- Ok, this one is all Dave's fault haha. He talked me into it, mainly because these are high impedance like the stock injectors, so I won't have to use the FJO injector driver anymore (or resistors like most people use). To me, that's just one less thing to fail. Don't get me wrong, so far I've never had a problem with my injector driver and FJO is a FANTASTIC company, but I'm trying to get rid of what I don't need. So I'll be going with 725cc injectors for the primaries and 2000cc injectors for the secondaries. I'm also planning on getting Nick's (turboholic) single turbo engine harness because he got rid of everything that isn't needed, and since I will already be tossing out the extra wiring of the injector driver, I figure I might as well slim down in other areas too.
http://azrotaryrockets.com/store/index.php?cPath=24_36
Front bumper support- This is more of a "see if I can get the front bumper to keep from sagging" project, so it's not really the same in my eyes. I mean, it shouldn't be as much work. I was going to get a 99 spec support since it will already fit the turn signals I have, but there are other parts I'd need to cut off to make it work and they're about $500 new, so I'm just gonna modify my stock one and see if that will work.
Clutch- I will also probably get Nick's clutch too, but I'm only getting this stuff now because I'm not sure how much longer I have left on mine. Last time I was in there (which was several months ago) I noticed that the replaceable ring (I have the Racing Beat 12lb flywheel with the ring that you replace when it's bad, instead of resurfacing the flywheel) was worn down pretty bad, pretty much already messing up the heads of the screws that secure it. So it might turn out that I need a whole new flywheel anyway. And if that's the case, I think I'm gonna go to a 8 or 9lb; I can make up for lack of a small bit of torque, but I love a quick rev.
Intercooler- I believe this one will go on the back burner for now actually. It's just too much to tackle at this time, and being that I'd have to get the end tanks made from scratch, it's something I can't really plan from over here and I can't stand that haha.
Possibly RE Amemiya AD9 hood (replica)- Someone on 7club is selling their kit and I'm thinking about getting this hood and selling mine (probably to Zico since he loves the Scoot hood so much). But we'll see, I probably won't do this, but if the price and everything is right, I just might.
http://www.ninjapower.co.uk/images/product/D0-022030-177.jpg
PFC Commander mount- I also still need to figure out, once and for all, how to mount this Commander. I don't want to buy one, I want to make one again. I was looking at this one...
http://www.thompson-automotive.com/catalog/item/2577811/2898200.htm
...but it's for Miatas and I don't think my dash is set up the same way. However, I'm going to look and see if I can make something similar. Coincidentally, that is the website where I got my current DIN gauge piece and shift knob.
And how could I forget the wheels??? But I think this one is going on the back burner too, at least until I can make up my damn mind and if that coincides with having money, not getting married or going on a honeymoon, and not doing stuff to the house, then wheels will be on the agenda.
In addition to the wheels...I still have to sort out the issue with my wide front fenders, but I haven't heard from the guy in months so it's hard telling what's going on. Once I get that sorted out, or possibly get different front fenders, I'll be getting some spacers and hang onto the Enkeis for a while most likely.

I'm not impressed...LOL! Just kidding
You have a lot of good projects there.
About the Sohn OMP adapter: I had one on my RX-8. Works GREAT! No more checking/topping off engine oil all the time, plus you can burn dedicated 2-stroke oil instead of engine oil from the pan. And you can run synthetic motor oil, a huge plus for bearing life.
Not sure how the install will go on the FD, but if it's anything like on the RX-8, watch out of the stock rubber gasket and the paper gasket Sohn supplied with the adapter. I used some RTV to hold the paper gasket on the adapter itself to keep it from constantly falling off.
EGT: Always a great idea, as a sudden spike in EGT's can alert you to a lean condition. Some tuners watch EGTs over AFRs. Just be sure to know how to use the data, since a lot of people don't and it just ends up being a useless gauge.
EGT will also be useless if the probe/sensor doesn't react fast enough. Shit happens quick in a rotary at 8000rpm. Most common gauges just don't react quick enough and/or don't read hot enough.
I'm a big fan of Exhaust Gas Technologies (http://exhaustgas.com/). They distribute Koso digital EGT gauges with super-fast reacting sensors. These things really move! They also have one with dual digital displays and dual sensors for two EGTs: http://exhaustgas.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1481&DepartmentID=1&CategoryID=71&RepID=&BasketID=
They also have one that reads 2 EGT probes, water temp, and RPM: http://exhaustgas.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1812&DepartmentID=1&CategoryID=71&RepID=&BasketID=
Best part is, they read up to 2100*F, which is the highest you're going to get in a commercially available gauge.
The Pegasus gauge you linked to looks exactly like the Pineapple gauge. Pineapple doesn't make their own gauge in-house, so I'm betting dollars to donuts Pineapple is just rebadging that gauge you ordered.
Everything else seems like a solid plan. With the injectors, since the ID Injectors are high impedance, you can run 1000cc primaries without issue and they only cost a few bucks more, I would get those over the 725cc injectors. Just gives you some more fueling and more headroom. Always overbuild/engineer, haha.
You can also get the CJ Motorsports rails (Or do you already have them?) and get them tapped for the two extra injector bungs in your aftermarket LIM. Put another pair of ID2000's in there and you're be set for some serious fuel! And could make a move to E85.

Well, it looks like the wheels might not be as much on the back burner as I'd previously thought, we'll have to see though. I'm going to talk to Kellen about it and work my budget, but it looks like I might be getting something sooner than I thought. Like yours Dave, it'll be a secret til I have them on though lol.
Yeah I've been wanting to do the OMP adapter for quite a while now, just never got around to getting a reservoir. I don't think mine came with a paper gasket. All I remember seeing in there is the o-ring and adapter itself. Also, at some point, I'd like to convert all (or at least most) of my other lines on the engine to SS braided and fittings instead of just hoses and clamps.
Per EGTs, that's my main reason. I want to monitor to watch for any irregularities. I made sure to do some research on which ones are fast reacting, hopefully these will be enough. Also, what all do I need to know to watch for aside from just high temps or whatever? I'd like to think I know what to look for but maybe I don't lol. I'll have to take a look at those links you provided too.
The Pegasus gauge is actually a bit different than the Pineapple gauge. They are made by different companies and the Pineapple one has F and R on it and is all black with white tips on the needles, while mine has no F and R and has red tips on the needles and is partly gray. Also the numbers are different here and there.
The reason I was planning on getting 725 instead of 1000 is because I currently have 1000s and I've been told they are harder to get a good tune at idle because of it. I usually do overbuild and overengineer though haha.
And I have the CJ rails already and I have zero plans to go E85 so I shouldn't need any more injectors haha.
Don't feel bad. It took me a long time to get where I am now, and I still feel lost sometimes lol.
That's exactly why I hate being broke. No food, yeah that sucks but no parts and work to do, that REALLY sucks haha.

Yeah it turned out to be alot more than I had originally planned haha.
Also, I might have to do a different body kit if I go too low on the wheels and tires and end up dropping the car some more. I already have quite the time getting into my driveway the way it is, even if I go in the second driveway that is alot more smooth than the main driveway and even going in at as much angle as I can. I think my body kit is too low to lower the car anymore and still make it over the speedbumps going on base too. Right now I can take the speed bumps completely straight and not scrape, but that's cause the car is sitting so high.
NOTHING is as bad as Mike's driveway though...F that thing lol.

^I can't see the pics at work but I'll look when I get home.
Also, I forgot to mention that I also want to relocate my battery...again. This time from the hatch to the storage bin behind the passenger seat...just like everyone else haha. I'm also looking into a group buy for a fire extinguisher that mounts to the front (and possibly rear) of the passenger seat. That way it's out of the way and easy to access the next time Zico's car catches on fire LOL. I better watch what I say, next thing I know mine will catch fire...or Z will light it on fire himself haha.

thats a buddy of mine in texas, he usually does that every morning and yes its driven like that everyday lol
haha i know right
That car does not look like fun to drive IMO. My 8 was pretty slammed, especially with the Mazdaspeed kit...and I hated getting into driveways, parking lot entrances, speed bumps, pot holes, large rocks, gum wrappers, small rocks...
I'm all for pulling off a hot stance, but at some point it's still a car and must be driven...
Eric- Yes, it's true it's GENERALLY more difficult to tune your idle right with large primaries, but as I explained in the email, the ID injectors are high impedance and precise enough to run at super low duty cycles...so you can idle extremely well with 1,000cc primaries. That is one of the HUGE benefits with ID injectors, trust me. People have run the 2000cc injectors in the primary spot...

Ok I've seen the video now, and yes, that is very ridiculous lol. I like the rims. Work Emotion CR Kai?
Alright Dave, I see what you're saying now. Eh, I'll have to see. I doubt I'll ever need more fuel than I currently have so I probably wouldn't need 1000s, unless the 725s are being worked too much.

Nope. I'm still planning finances. I still have a bit to pay on the loan and I want to put some money down on the wheels too. I don't NEED the injectors anytime soon, but I'd like to get them with deployment money since I'll have it all at once, rather than waiting to save up money with normal paychecks. But like I said, I don't NEED them just yet, it's just a major WANT haha.
