While I will still be on the forums daily my 8 is now in Pam Desert, CA with my parents. It will stay there until 2013 when I return from Germany.

Driving my 8 down to AZ (800 or so miles) was a blast!!!!!

I also have a new found hate against 8 owners at Sea Level! My 8 felt like a wild animal at sea level. I saw 226 MAF on my AP while in AZ for a week and my 8 pulled like a mo fo compared to CO.

It was very hard leaving it behind, but at least I get to keep it! Goal is to save money for a turbo kit and do the install when I return.

I know what you mean about 8's at sea level. I just got back from Oklahoma last week and driving it there was like driving another car. It can actually accelerate down there!! I feel in love with it again, then I came home...

It really does make a huge difference in N/A cars. Hell even the little Mazda3 my friend and I rented in Seattle felt very peppy and quick. I'm jealous of all the people at sea level, but at the same time it's nice for me because having a turbo gives me an advantage over the N/A guys up here, heh.

Sorry you have to give up your car for three years man. Hopefully you are able to get something fun to drive while you're over there.

I am going to work about a 1/4 mile from my house. I was thinking of buying something small (beater), just to get around but will try and go without for as long as possible.

Sorry you don't get to take your car with you, but like you said, at least you get to keep it and do a lot of work on it when you get back. I think it's funny your Dad had it detailed for you even though you won't see it again for a while hahaha.

When I went to Okinawa for 3 years I left my Prelude behind and I hated it...until I got back and bought my FD and all but forgot about Honda hahaha.

I know. I had to call him and remind him that there is 32XXX miles on my 8 and when I get back there better be no more than 33/34XXX miles on it
