i was changing my couplers and found oil inside the intercooler piping. Is not dripping or anything like that. I also got a catch can and im pretty sure that oil is not coming from oil filler neck cuz i got the catch right there, so im thinking the turbo seals getting ready to go. Right?
here is my setup:

damn oil in intercooler piping. ive only seen audis do that lol. but yea seals are starting to go, unless its extreme blow by which i doubt.

Seals aren't going to blow (some day, yes) but blow by is normal.

is weird cuz when i bought it the snail only had 500 miles on it, no shaft play what so ever,
and it looked brand new, I've put like 5k on that snail. I thought they were good for at least 15k.

really i dont recall rotarys having blow by since there isnt really a pcv or having extreme compression. but then again im not really familiar with the renesis.

It is a pretty common problem for the speed3 and speed6, in that case it is just blow by for the most part and can be compounded by the known issue of the bad turbo seals.

but he's got an rx-8, so all the issues w/ the speed3(6) motors doesn't really apply at all. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it, but where does your catch can intercept? As in where does the input and output of it connect to?

It goes from the oil filler neck - catch can - intake

have u checked the material in the catch can at all (usually steel wool or something similar) to see if its completely nasty and needs to be replaced? Is there any more build up around where the OCC hooks up to your intake?
