Get the AP and either Chickenwafer can tune you or you can buy it from Mazdamaniac.

http://www.mazdamaniac.com/cobb/accessport.htm

When youbuy it from MM the tunes come with it. When I bought mine a couple of years ago it would take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to get your next tune. However it looks like he has been getting them out more into the two week time frame (regularly).

G/L :), oh and what type of mods do you have?

There are not that many to choose from...

The Cobb Accessport is the best aftermarket EMS/reflashing tool that you can buy for the RX8, IMO!

Unfortunatly there are not many people that know how to tune the Rotary engine/ will even give it a shot (without hurting anything).

If you buy the Accessport you can have it tuned by a dyno shop that is familar with the AP Street Tuner Software or you can buy it from Mazdamaniac (website in my last post) and he will do your tunes for free.

If you buy from him it will take time in order to get to your final tune as you have to email him data logs, but considering it is free it is an awesome deal.

Also like Chickenwafer said (he can provide you with tuning as well and he is local)!

Frank moved out of state and shut his shop down.

I've tuned multiple RX-8's and other rotary vehicles, turbo or NA, so I can get a good tune for you.

Cobb AccessPORT is by far the best EMS tool from lightly to highly modified. I used it on my old 330-rwhp RX-8 without issue.

Cobb also just dropped the price to $495, so MazdaManiac tunes are no longer FREE, since he charging over $495 for the AP from him. I can tune your car in person with street tuning or dyno tuning if you like (you will need to setup the dyno time at a shop).

Let me know if you're interested!

Well that should tell you how long I have been out of it if Frank moved. I will see whats up when the time comes. Thanks, and when it comes time to tune if I get chickenwafer's help, I have access to a show with a Dyno, unless they closed to, I should keep up on this haha.

Street tune is the best tune you will ever get.

Dyno tuning makes you go for a number, street tuning makes the car fun to drive. After blowing two engines in a row up on the dyno and finally getting a solid tune on the third engine I went to california and my diff went out. Got it fixed and the car was running wayyyy too lean so had to street tune it because no one was open the night before the event. The car felt WAY better, more responsive, and I couldn't feel when the secondaries kicked in at all anymore. Got the car back here and I will say that it ran like a champion without changing the tune at all. It threw a lot more fire under decel, but ran great.
