I know people pick on us rotary people for mileage, but I drove my 1982 GSL to Denver and back today. Keep in mind I have a 13B not the stock 12A, and it's heavily ported, dual Weber Carbs, MSD ignition, Racing Beat exhaust front to back, and I still got 23.7 mpg. No, I did not baby it, that car would not stand for being babied. I was very pleasantly suprised. So all you boinger drivers leave us alone about our gas mileage!

That's about what I get highway. Not "great" mileage, but since when do people buy sports cars for mileage!

I get about 25 or so in the highway. In town I only get about 18.

I only get about 16 and change in town. Small price to pay as far as I'm concerned.

I completely agree too. I always say it gets average gas mileage for a sports car. I don't see the problem. Although when we had the springs meet, The MPG I alculated was..... Uhm.... No comment. [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img] I'll just say because of the bad coils it was way low. Yesterdays criuse seemd alot better.

Well I hope to have a small improvement in mileage as I just found out the car had a cracked distributor cap since I put the engine in....I'll post when I get fuel again.

That mileage sucks!

WHere the heck is the gas going?
My friggin' Mustang GT with a V8 got over 30 MPG on the highway! My turbo Saabs did, too.

That mileage may suck, but at least I don't have to be in a mustang.....or a saab. No offense, but my car is 25 years old and regularly has boosted, late model cars and mustangs for lunch(The last mustang was a blue Roush edition, the last boosted car was a blue STI, and he gve up when I was pulling away from him with tires loose going into second gear). And it has no fuel injection or a turbo. Just junk metered fuel leaks to spill fuel into the engine. So I guess the gas is going into acceleration instead of making a bunch of useless noise.
