Getting another one....

Postby goldrocket » Fri Jun 05, 2009 9:14

So for a few weeks now I have been looking at a wrecked 82 RX-7 that sits across the street from my office. It's the same color as mine and it's hit on the driver side. I went over and rang the door bell yesterday and struck a deal. I will be taking it to my brothers shop early next week or possibly this weekend. It was driven to it's location, turns out it has a good running 12A with less then 60K on it. So I now have a parts car for the FB guys. I am taking the column switch assembly, pass. side door, the glass sunroof and some other odds and ends. any one need any parts? Or maybe an engine? I'll make some great deals.

Does it still have the knobs on the stereo? And does it have a good center console lid? What color is the interior? I need those pieces I mentioned...well, I will EVENTUALLY anyway haha.

yup they look nothing alike. You can swap the entire interior between the cars but not any parts. There are 2 at the pull & save right now though.

Thanks for the links Chris! I tried to get on the first one but it's denied at work. I'm gonna get on there after work though.

Well I pulled the engine and trans last night. The engine runs really smooth! Trans is going in my car for sure! No more grinding 2nd and 3rd. LOL! Plus the interior is black and grey, so it's also going in my car. Once it's stripped I'll post a list of parts for sale. I am selling the engine complete, that's with the distributor, carb, alternator, air pump, etc. We cut no harnesses in the removal process. This engine is a drop in, plug it in, and ride. It even has a block heater.

Wow. That 84 Interior vehicle Cryptonizer was the exact match to my 82. Charcoal grey, maroon leather, moonroof, louvers on the rear window.

Been looking for a picture of mine old baby for a long time. Thanks. Ah, the memories.
