So i bought for a hundred bucks. It sat in the back yard of some guys house. Any ways got it runining. Had to change the fuel pump, filter, preassure regulator and adjust to vaccum line going back into the tank.

But hey here's my question...The fuel pump i bought used like two months old used. The car drives fine but the car has to be full before i go anywhere because when it gets to 3/4 full it sputters out as if it were empty. Any knowledge on my predicamint would be very helpful.

In tank pump could be going out? Or some very dirty fuel lines/pump.

Since the car had been sitting, I would bet there was a lot of sediment in the tank. The new filter is probably clogged. I would start by putting Seafoam in the tank and let it loosen up anything in the system. You will then probably need to drain the tank and replace the filter.

Have you given the car a full tune up? New plugs (NGK), oil, oil filter, coolant, air filter, oil in tranny and rear, etc. I would make sure you do all those first. THe car will love you for it and you will have more power although this is not the fuel problem.

I am with Chris on this one, drain the tank and open up the fuel lines to clean all the junk out. A new fuel filter is always a great idea.

or a great way to clean the tank about a gallon or 2 of denatured alcohol overnight then drain. it should clean alot of crap out without having to physically clean it yourself. you can also do it with diesel fuel but at your own risk.

I've cleaned a tank with lye. works great but you don't want to get it on your skin or in your eyes.

mine have to complete drop that tank out. Also, some of the things themselves should be the issue. But i would assume the intake portion of the fuel is your problem.

also it would help to know what year.
