Nice.... I havn't done one for me yet but have pulled the shifter apart when me and my bro did the flywheel.... going to do it again Sunday when we replace my clutch release cylinder and Through out Bearing...... My parts came today.....

Ooopps I take that back.... NOT Sunday.... My car will be sitting at Mazda still waiting for me to stop by with Spark plugs and wires...... Probably Monday..... but after that I will.....

Twist offf shifter knob...... pulll up on center console aera...... unbolt four bolts then pull out the stuff..... then four more and pull shifter out.... then repeat in reverse order..... Something like that..... Very easy....

Well i took the shifter apart, pulled out the bag 'o marbles and popped in the new shifter. God i love this thing. As soon as i go to shift it flows right into the next gear. The transfer to reverse is so smooth. I dont have to fight with it anymore and grind the gear cuz im only half in.

Odd, I always had issues getting into reverse with the SS. Once I swapped back to stock, it was much easier. In fact, that was the main reason I didn't put the SS back on the car.

Yeah it was. The hardest part was when "somebody" dropped a bolt down on the tranny housing. Lol thanks for the help man.

That sucks...mine goes straight into every gear. I know that there have been a few cases where these shifters have sync issues, but supposedly you can send your shifter back for a new one (if needs be).

If you PM Richard Paul on rx8club he will do whatever it takes.

I'll be honest and say I was underwhelmed by the difference. I sold the shifter for nearly what I paid for it on rx8club. Granted I may have been underwhelmed because I dealt with bad syncros the entire time I had the shifter. At this point, though, it's low on the list for me.

Thanks sucks. I don't know if the shifter deserves all of the hype that it gets, but I do know that I love mine. It makes my driving experience more enjoyable.
