You are still under warranty right? Take it in and they will fix it. If that dealer won't go to another. It should be covered don't take any other offer they tell you. It's a known problem. Just unflash the AP before you go.

It's should still be. Is it and 05? If it's an 04 if it was purchased before Sept this year you are still under the powertrain warranty unless you are over 50k miles. But then again you cuold go in there and tell them it's a know issue and should be changed for free. It's a part of the car that shouldn't break anywho. I mean a 1970 whatever that's rusted and beat up will still have a working clutch pedal braket.

so i got my car towed to go mazda off 104th and federal yesterday. they are going to fix the clutch petal bracket under warranty. they are also doing some recall for a "lack of power"??, any ideas on what they are going to do?

Ru a bunch of tests on the car. If they fail at any point they may run a Compression test to ensure the car has the right compression. If that fails you will be due for a new motor under warranty.

May be also a clogged cat. They will check that also.

Lack of power recall is MSP16, an ECU flash. I'd be surprised if they did anything other than that.

I think that they still check all that stuff. Especially considering that its a 05. There are rumourse that it will take away some power but there are also those that have experianced a 10HP increase. Just rumourse and speculation.

Good deal! How's the shifting feel with all of that replaced? Word of advice, the bracket will fail again. Not tomorrow necessarily, but 40k-50k miles down the road. I installed the Mazsport Clutch Pedal bracket kit for peace of mind. It just adds some stiffer reinforcement pieces.

shifting feels great. how much did you pick up the bracket for?
