Damn rain!

I had my taillights replaced in December due to condensation. I noticed yesterday after our recent rainy weekend that they're fogged up again. Damnit! Even though my B2B warranty is out, the tail lights are still within the 12mo/12,000 mile part warranty.

you know there is a gray rx-8 at my work with the same issue. Right rear taillight is fogged up. When I saw it today, I thought of you. g/l getting this repaired.

Wow. I havn't checked mine. I should go out and check'em. Propbably after the battery to the flash light charges. I gots to go hunting for my house keys. I seem to have lost them on the way to or from the car earlier this afternoon.

I had some condensation in my headlight after all that rain also. Need to get it checked out.

That is a stupid problem to be having. (i am not upset at you guys)
Mazda shouldn't have these kinds of problems. Is it that hard to put together a light? Really?

That makes me so upset that things like this are a problem after spending $$$$$ on the car in the first place. AHHHHHH!!!!!!

I know! This will be the second set for this car, and even when they were installed, you could tell the seal at the bottom of the light was cracked or something. And once again, unlike most people, it's the passenger side lamp for me.

I checked this morning.....Found my house keys to. No condensation. I also would only get it in the passanger side.

i had this issue in an older car, went out and bought some sealant and patched the area up myself...problem solved...of course the car
was nowhere near warranty coverage anymore.

Just to revive this, I was looking through TSBs and see that the '09 RX8s STILL have this problem. How freakin' hard is it to properly design a tail light???

Thats crap... Warranty or no warranty, they should fix your tail light. That is not an item that should need replacing... esspecially if the 2009s have the same problem.

No matter how nice the Service department is (Bob Penkus in Co Springs is not bad), I always feel like I am about to be ripped off. Everytime I get my oil changed they are suppose to do an inspection and included in that is checking the battery.

When my 8 wouldn't start and I checked my battery this weekend there was acid all over it and I had my oil changed a few weeks ago... Nice inspection Huh!

Its the same with every dealer imo. As much as i love Burt i know they don't really perform the full point inspection thing. They change the oil and walk quickly around the car and then give you the paper saying everything is good. It would be nice if they really took the time to not just give it all the "once" over, but for now its life.

Ive gone thru 3 sets around the whole car before i finally got a set that are good. I talked to one of the guys at mazda a while back and he said the fixtures have a crappy seal on them. Once you get your new ones maybe try an epoxy on the seams.
