What you'll need: B Pillar Appliques (duh)
Isopropyl alcohol or similar.
A good lint free rag.
Your hands.

Time to install: Going slowly, about 15 minutes.
When I get a chance, I'll scan the Mazda instructions. Straightforward stuff if you've ever installed anything with double sided tape.

1. Clean the B-Pillar using Isopropyl alcohol and a lint free rag. Wipe off any excess alcohol.

2. Let it dry. This stuff dries fast, give it just a couple of minutes, and you'll be good to go.
3. Peel the mylar backing off the applique.
4. Reapply covering most of the applique, leaving about 1/4" of the double sided tape around the rear and bottom edges expose.
5. Once you've got it lined up on the car on all directions, press down on the portion of the applique where you have exposed the tape.
6. Remove backing from the rest of the applique.
7. The appliques will dent if you put too much pressure on them. Use your palm to secure them to the B-Pillar and remove any trapped air.
8. Clean 'em up and be happy you'll have no more finger prints/waterspots, etc on the B pillars. Nice shiny piano black!

Thanks, although I felt kinda stupid writing up a DIY about how to apply peel and stick accessories.

Abridged version:

Step 1: Clean.
Step 2: Peel.
Step 3: Apply.

8, per rotor. It also helps aerodynamically, since it cuts down on drag, since it's all slick.

Looks sweet! I like the fact it has "RX-8" on it.

I felt the same as you, didn't want to fork out the extra $$ for the JDM stickers. Definitely makes a difference. So far, me likes!
