Need help picking rims for my rx8

Hey this is my first post here been reading the forum for a while now though. I have an issue with my 8 i got it used and it was already lowered body kitted and has these ugly as hell 20 inch rims on it. Well now that i finally have enough money to get some new rims (well not totally blew another sidewall on those damn tires) im trying to figure out sizes. Ive looked everywhere to try to find the stock offset but havent found it yet. Im still serching but needing to know if a +43 offset (seems high to me and will be a bit too recessed id think) would fit at all or would it just look terrible? The rims would be an 18x8 +43 offset "according to the shops" around here they will fit fine and look nice. But mostly ive been reading about people fitting their 8's with about a +35 offset so im really confused atm. Last thing would a set of 245/45zr18 tires with those rims rub anywhere? Sorry for all the questions but im just stumped dont know much about tires and sizes.

yeah got it for one hell of a lot cheaper than the other 8's around and has one hell of a lot less mileage on it. Been trying to get rid of those damn rims for a while now rest of the car is nice though just wish i could figure out where the hell to go on it. Eventually i wanna get a fi setup on it but for now getting rims and looking into a cobb accesport. I really hope that fixes the damn cornering at the very least it just slides with those rims. Just need some insight on this whole thing (new to import type cars but learing at least)
