I got my JDM tranny on the forum for $275 shipped IIRC. So you can find them, but if you built it yourself you could do it for much less than $3200. The synchro is not that expensive, probably only like 10 or 20 dollars if I remember right, but having the tools and time to do it is the problem. For now you can double clutch (not granny shifting like you oughta) and see if that helps.

Oh yeah I'm in no way saying you should spend $3200 on a tranny rebuild haha. Just poking fun at my previous owner since he DID spent that kind of coin. That also did include dropping and re-installing the trans as well in the car.
I would recommend getting a used one off 7club. Much better deal.
Just let me know when you think you're going to start on the rebuild. I'm actually pulling my motor the last weekend of July I think to reseal the oil pan and do some work if you want to come up to lend a hand or just hang out.

You could get a T-56 and the bellhousing to mate with a 13B-REW for cheaper than $3200, AND it will last forever LOL.
Dave, after I get back from the cruise next weekend I'm planning on taking leave for the two weeks after that until July 18th. Are you sure you don't want to pull your engine sometime during then? LOL

Yeah, I'm pretty sure since I'll be in San Francisco for most of that time haha!
The earliest I could possibly do it would the weekend of 16-17th in July, I get back on the 15th.

The oil pan is leaking and the only good way of fixing it is to pull the motor so I can replace the pan and reseal it. Also adding an oil pan brace so hopefully it never happens again.
The turbos are also crap so I set of lightly used twins going in, going non sequential so re-wiring the harness, deleting stuff like the FPD, AST, EGR, AWS, Double throttle, power steering, etc to clean up the engine bay, polishing the UIM and LIM, new motor mounts, dropping in a 2nd Supra fuel pump (dual in tank pumps) and 1300cc secondaries, and doing a v-mount setup as well. I'll be busy!

Hopefully I can start working on it this weekend. This is where I stand right now.

^Yeah I'm pulling mine out next weekend.
Nah, not really haha. Good to see you got it out man! I wasn't sure how far along you were but I'm glad it was as easy as the throwout bearing. Did you have to move the engine back together with the tranny a little or were you able to pop it loose where it was?
