My new car!
You say they "fit", but to me it looks like those tires are way too small for those rims. Personally I can't stand the rounded sidewall look like that.

Rounded sidewall would mean the tires are bubbled or too big for the rim, stretched sidewall would mean that the wheels can sit out further and actually increase grip during turning if you don't want to go widebody or have extensive work done.
My car is styled in a fashion that it HAS to have stretched tires, as well as the fact that my wheels are extremely wide

On a side note I can't stand "rounded" tires. Like a 275 section tire on an 8.5" rim. It just looks heavy. It decreases turn-in speed significantly, as well. I generally associate that with people who want more grip but are too cheap to get new, wider wheels.
The only time I think rounded/bulging tires are acceptable is for drag slicks or off-road truck tires. I mean, I have 285 tires on my 16x8" truck wheels, so naturally they are hella rounded.
And I'm thinking of getting my stock wheels powder coated and throwing on some Mickey Thompson ET Street Slicks on them, at least 255's in the rear.
The only time I think rounded/bulging tires are acceptable is for drag slicks or off-road truck tires. I mean, I have 285 tires on my 16x8" truck wheels, so naturally they are hella rounded.

Haha, it's mostly when people put way too large tires on stock wheels. Either way, everyone has different tastes, just like how I like the stretched look and others hate it.
Anyways, wheels are on!!! It's raining a little so I'm holding off on pictures for the moment but I will have some tomorrow for sure. Rain looks like it might clear up soon so I can snap some pictures today hopefully.

You know, I was driving in the biggest nearby city tonight (I don't want to say which city because it will give away my location haha) and I saw something that reminded me of what you said Dave. The locals with SUVs over here, when their factory tires go bad, they put what look like real cheapo tires on. These things have retread on them and everything. But they're real big tires that just bulge out on the sides. They actually remind me of the tires you would see on vehicles in the old cartoons, with the little x patch on the sidewall lol. It just looks so odd, because it will be like a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser or some other really nice vehicle with these just awful tires on it lol.
On a side note, I do have to say I love driving here, because it's how I really want to drive in the US but can't. It's like racing on the street, but EVERYONE is doing it. It's so aggressive. But you also feel relieved when you get back on base without having an accident downtown lol.

FINALLY got pics! Weather wasn't cooperating for a while, then I went out of town with Eduardo to pick up the FD, so I finally got around to snapping pictures today.

Nothing crazy special: 5Zigen FN01R-C in Titanium (Bronze).
17x10 +35 up front
17x10 +25 out back
Both wrapped in Federal SS-595 255/40-17 rubber. While these wheels are nothing special, I LOVE the fitment and the super concave face of the FN's at these size. I think they look BEAUTIFUL. Plus, being super wide, they make the car look almost like a widebody. Love it!

Thanks guys. I'm extremely satisfied with the new wheels and tires.
Only issues right now is the front wheels rub a little on the liner...but it's getting less and less so I think they are rubbing away the clearance they require LOL. We'll see.
Other issue is a nasty vibration from the wheels between 45-50mph. Sometimes it's not too bad, just a little vibration. Other times it feels like I'm driving down a cobble road. Then today it got so bad I felt like the wheels were going to fly off the car...I actually pulled over to make sure everything was okay LOL.
Just in case, I ordered hubcentric rings to see if that helps, but I also plan on taking the wheels back for re-balancing.
I also just finished re-wiring the fuel pump. It's a common issue with FD's, the factory fuel pump wiring provides a tortured path for the power to the fuel pump. So on average, you only get 10-11 volts at the pump with the OEM wiring, when you should be getting more like 13-14.
So I ran a wire directly off the battery (30A fused), through the interior (fun part), then into the back hatch to a relay. The factory fuel pump wire then runs into the relay to energize it, and then the switched coil runs to the fuel pump. This essentially provides full battery voltage to the pump automatically.
I had a heck of a time with it, though. I'm usually good with straight wiring, but relays and me don't get along. So I had a friend help me layout the wiring diagram to the relay, but it was all messed up and didn't work. I struggled for over 2 hours trying to figure it out because I thought there was a blown factory fuse or relay...turns out I just had the relay wired wrong LOL
