My new car!

David, my VMIC keeps all my temps REALLY low. I did have to go to a smaller battery, but then I went with a normal size battery a relocated it and it's great. I did ditch my A/C though, mostly because I couldn't figure out how to mount certain pieces of it with the VMIC, but I think the kit was made to keep the A/C if you want to. I also removed the crash bar, if it's the part I think you're talking about lol.
I went blank as I was typing, but into the end tank on the intercooler. you get a direct flow in chances case instead of a 90 degree obstucted flow into most V-mounts. Im not saying anything bad about any V-mount setup, I plan on going v-mount myself, just saying that chances has a smoother flow through the intercooler with less restrictions.

I still don't get how it's a smoother flow if the IC is almost vertical to the ground rather than forming an actual V.
I think I just don't understand what you're saying. Are you talking about ambient airflow across the face of the IC or the air going through the IC from the turbo? I'm thinking you're speaking of ambient airflow but I could see what you're saying about the air from the turbo.Sorry about the sunroof switch Dave, lol.

haha yea sorry im talking about the air through the intercooler from the turbo not ambient airflow. Just speaking of less turbulence in his piping than in the 90 degree bends that most V's have thats all.

Just finished up doing the "Cheap Bastard Intake Mod" on the car. Basically, you cut out half of the bottom of the stock intake box and fab a heat shield so the intake can suck in fresh, cool air from the gap between the radiator and the frame rail. The heat shield blocks hot air from the radiator.
Some one (previous owner or something) mickey moused my intake box before, apparently, by using two sheet metal screws on the sides to help hold the lid down. Inside the airbox there was also a Trident gum wrapper, two dead bees, and a whole lot of grime/dirt. Surprisingly, the filter was actually pretty clean. This weekend I'll probably order a K&N drop in panel filter.
Also, still debating on tires. I have it narrowed down to either the General SS595's or a set of Falken FK-452's. I would really like a set of Nitto NT05's but they sadly don't have them in the size I require.

After driving the car with the "Cheap Bastard Intake Mod" I can really feel a difference in power, it's crazy! I know it's not not just a placebo, either, because I am hitting more boost. Stock boost is 10psi and I usually never got more than that, but now I'm hitting about 10.5psi in 2nd gear, 11psi in 3rd, and 12psi in 4th. So there is deff more airflow.
And before anyone tells me, I know running more than 10psi on the stock ECU is dangerous, but I have my Snow kit injecting about 350cc/min of windshield fluid and my AFRs are solid in boost, so I'm not worried.
