Won't get the new engine til I can afford it.

Input fluids in and started the car. Shut it off to check oil. Now it won't stop flooding. It will only run while the fuel relay is out and that's only for a few seconds. I'll put the relay back in and it kills it immediately. I'm wondering if the ECU didn't reset itself or put a massive load of fuel on. It's smells like a lot of fuel either way. And of course my tuning computer didn't get here today like it was supposed to so that's great.

I doubt the PFC would reset itself. Thats pretty rare. It probably somehow just get exceptionally flooded. Keep cranking it with the fuel pump relay out until it doesn't start, or crank it with the throttle floored to turn off the injectors. You may need to even pull the leading plugs and crank it to clear out the chambers quicker.

Can you monitor you injector duty cycle while cranking on the commander? If it's much above 10% then I guess for some reason the PFC got reset.

I've heard of it happening but it's never happened to me, so I'm not sure.

I started the car again tonight and it ran just fine. So...whatever lol.

Unfortunately I won't get my powder coating stuff back until tomorrow since it wasn't finished today, so I can't drive it til tomorrow anyway.

I finally got the stuff back from powder coating at 5pm today. First thing in the morning my ###.

Anyway, I put all the stuff back in and ran it, but I have yet to drive it. I'll drive it tomorrow. It smoked a lot when I started it but eventually it wasn't smoking as much. Hopefully the drive tomorrow will yield great results. It just sucks that we should be leaving Missouri for the last leg of the trip to DGRR tomorrow. ARGH!!!!

I'm still confused how a leaking oil pan could cause the motor to smoke?

Well it looks as though it might be still burning just a bit. I'm not going to drive it home though, I'll drive it to Denver or something when I get back to test it out. I'm certainly not going to drive it 12 hours to test it out LOL.

I talked to Dave while he guided me on how to make some adjustments to my fuel map and idle settings. I think I messed it up even worse now haha. I'll take care of that when I get back.

Also, my awesome IBM Thinkpad that I got on eBay for $189 (to use for tuning) now won't even boot up after I shut it off the first time. AWESOME!!!

I also got my Macbook back from repairs at Apple the other day, and I partitioned the HD to install Windows 7 again. I guess the copy I got no longer fully works LOL. It has no drivers to connect to the internet, none of the hotkeys on the top row of the keyboard work and I can't hear any sound from it. AWESOME!

Man I need this vacation, from everything though haha.

That's all likely because of drivers. I bet if you find the network driver online and put it on a flash drive or something and get that installed so you can get the rest of the drivers, the keyboard and sound will start working.

I believe that one is one of the larger models lol. It has the Vband flange on the compressor housing. My size doesn't come with that, unless they modified this one, but I doubt mine could make that much power lol. Definitely an EFR though.

I found some street ported irons coated in Cermet B on 7club for $1000, but I'd really like to go back to stock ports and in a few days I'm going to meet a neighbor of one of my relatives in Springfield, MO that races a rotary-powered Triumph in SCCA and I think he has some extra engine parts because he said he could build me an engine. I'm gonna see of he'll sell them to me lol.

I picked up some street ported irons today for $400 from a guy here in Springfield, MO. This guy has the life I want. He is a mechanical engineer, races a Triumph Spitfire in SCCA, a normal house that he and his wife has made kickass, a two-car garage attached and another garage behind the house that fits about six or seven cars along with space outside that behind the fence that fits a few cars, then works in a shop where he has a few more cars and has his two FDs and another old German car in another shop across the parking lot. He builds rotaries and all kinds of other engines for these cars but his job is inventing, patenting and producing and supplying said invention. And he's super cool and laid back. I bought the parts from him actually. Then the guy he works with has an RX3 that's still pretty much a race car that he DDs. And my moms cousin, who we're here to visit, let me drive his 67 Shelby Fastback. Actually I may have misheard, maybe it's a GT but its actually called a T-5 because it was originally shipped to Germany for a soldier and they already have a motorcycle called Mustang. Anyway, that was awesome too. I've been given a WWII Japanese rifle with bayonet, a starters pistol lol, and some other cool stuff, and I'm bringing my TurboII FC back with me too. And Dad took me to the Cardinals game Friday where they smashed the Brewers and we were 10 rows from the field. Life has been great lol.

Actually that two car attached garage would probably fit about 4 cars, it's huge lol. And both his garage and his shop are filled with rotary parts and engines lol.
