See I like the thick intercooler core that the rotary works come with. The radiator is pretty beefy too. You can also adjust the IC to the side so you can fit a CAI for the turbo.

The Rotary Works kit isn't bad but it is a no-name eBay brand radiator and intercooler. It's also missing a TON of stuff so be prepared to fab a lot of stupid little brackets, etc. I don't like how the radiator hangs pretty low.

The Defined v-mount is nice, but I am biased haha. The intercooler is a good 3" thick and has a ton of thermal mass (what you want in an intercooler). The radiator is a modified genuine Koyo. I like how all the parts are mounted to rubber isolators to prevent vibrations from cracking anything, plus it comes with ducting.

The Defined kit is only a few hundred more than the RW kit and I think it's far superior. The RW kit is good but I think the price differential is made up by all the extra time and money you will spend getting it to work right.

I was also contemplating the Defined kit as well. so my conclusion is Im going with the Define kit just because like you said it comes with the koyo rad, radiator hoses, ducting and also like how you can see the koyo logo from the front of the car LOL.

I called defined they said it takes two week for it to ship because they have to order the radiator and the intercooler but they have all the other hardware in stock so as soon as they receive the IC and Rad it will ship out.

In the mean time my car was pulling 10" of vacuum so I said this is not normal and decided to hunt for vacuum leak. I took the UIM out and found what I was looking for, a broken vacuum cap so I said screw it they are getting welded shut. So my UIM is at the shop getting welded. I only left 3 nipples open map sensor and the two on top of the UIM. I will also be replacing the UIM to LIM metal gasket with a paper one, I don't trust metal gaskets.

Cool man, I think you'll be very happy with the Defined kit. Logan over there is a good guy.

I thought about getting some of the extra nipples on my UIM welded up but decided not to. I still have time though so I might do it. Less to worry about for sure. Usually with vacuum caps I'll pump some RTV or even JB Weld into the cap and then put the cap on with a zip tie or hose clamp, depending on size, to make sure it stays in place. Usually works but inevitably the rubber will crack.

The RW kit is even cheaper than the Defined kit? I thought Defined was the cheapest. Wow haha.

I've thought about pulling out the nipples and then tapping them so they'll take either a plug, an aftermarket nipple with ridges or a small AN fitting, but I haven't yet looked into seeing if there are AN fittings, plugs or ridged nipples that small lol.

Yeah, the RW kit is only around $900 I believe, the Defined is just a few hundred more for SO much more.

I also thought about tapping some stuff for AN hose, but really, how would it connect to anything? The MAP sensor is the most important but no way to connect a AN fitting/hose to it.

I was thinking about having BDC port and polish my throttle body. I'm sure you guys (Dave & Eric) have seen this done. What do you guys think about this? I really don't see any gains by doing this sense the bores will remain the same size.

I've seen it, but most of the evidence as to it's performance in hearsay and butt dynos. I don't think it would hurt anything, that's for sure.

Brian is a personal friend but I have to be slightly skeptical of this. I'm sure it speeds up the velocity of air in the TB, but how much...how knows. Like I said, doubt it will hurt anything. But for the cost, you could probably do something else.

I'd think if you ported the TB you'd really need to port the UIM and LIM to get the benefits.

As for tapping the UIM for AN fittings...the map is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that would need a normal hose. I was thinking of doing AN fittings on the WG for the air lines, as well as the water lines.

I thought about buying a vacuum manifold like this: http://www.maperformance.com/golden-eagle-vacuum-manifold-gol-gvm100.html

It already has ports tapped for 1/8" NTP so you would just need adapters to your -4AN or -6AN whatever fitting and then you would only need to tap/weld one source on the UIM or LIM for reference.

Little bit worried about the V mount kit. I sent the payment and I still dont have a confirmation that they received the payment and they are working on it. I called Defined a couple days ago and asked if they received my order and he said that he was going to check and send me an email confirmation, to this day I haven't received anything. Sent a email today let see if they answer.

So the Defined Auto people done pissed me off lol. They told me the kit was going to ship last week for sure, still have nothing just sent them a PM and gave them 10 Days to receive the kit if not i'll file a PayPal dispute.

I notice my Tial BOV was open while the car was idling, I tought that was normal as it doesn't seen to affect the idle at all. Did some research on it and found out that it needs to be close at idle. The reason is open at idle is because I dont have the right spring on it. Tial website has the chart with the different spring specs.

Received my V mount kit today finally. One thing I notice was that the radiator outlet is not modified, referring to the pictures on their website. If I have to modify the radiator Im just going to keep my current N Flow radiator.

Just got done tearing down my current setup. Took me about 3 hours to take the Bumper, FMIC, Radiator. Also took out my UIM for polishing. Tomorrow I'll take the LIM out for polishing as well and get a vacuum nipple welded shut. I'll be replacing all gaskets with brand new OEM ones and do some port matching.

While the bumper is off om going to be installing my R1 oil coolers, im ditching the OEM lines and going with -8an steel braided lines. Just ordered all the fitting and adapters at Pegasus Racing.

I have been thinking about running a Sohn OMP Adaptor, just because I don't really like pre mixing at the pump avery time i put fuel in. Also people looks at you with the What the F are you doing LOL. Also you are suppose to measure the amount of premix going in (not this guy).
