^wow, that crazy man. I would only need black carpet, sunroof headliner, sun visors, seat belts, and that should be it. Everything else I can paint, and I plan on recovering my current seats.

Update on the part:

My private investigator friend got me the kids parents names and numbers. I gave his Dad a call, and turns out it's a grandpa (the guy is only 56 years old, meaning this kid can't be older than 16). His grandpa was VERY surprised, and to boot, the kid was using the grandpa's PayPal account!

So I got a full refund. I lost $20 with the BS PayPal fees and I'll have to pay $7 to ship it back to him, but other than that I'm done with this deal. Looks like I'm buying a PFC brand new unless I find one used locally I can verify works in person (or a very trusted member online).

Dave, I don't think you know Corey, but I'm shocked because Corey's car was in immaculate condition, and the interior is being ripped out for the track LOL. I mean hey, it's your car, I'm just surprised is all. I personally would make a track car out of one that was torn apart already or just in really bad shape, but I guess these things are getting so hard to find LOL. That's hilarious actually LOL.

Dave, that is awesome man, and quite a weird story actually lol. I'm glad it's all working out for you though. I have to say though, I'd have a hard time paying anything. That guy should make the kid pay the $27. How is it your fault that his shithead grandson scams people?? But I guess I'd be happy with at least getting most of my money back too.

I will hit you up sometime before the winter, hopefully in the fall. I am serious about the swap, but I will need to purchase a few other big ticket things before swapping the interior, but it's on my short list.

PM me the prices you are thinking about for those pieces...

Yea they happened to have a SOLO 1 event at my home track on mothers day so i drug it down there to get a good sense of where the car stood since I knew what a good lap time was. Its actually a pretty fun track with some higher speed corners that kind of put the car on the edge.

Here is a video of me in my formula Mazda before i sold it to get another 7. At Circuit Grand Bayou

See THAT'S what I wanna drive on the track LOL. I'd love to drive my car too, but I've put so much money into it.

Dave, any luck finding a PFC? I would imagine there would be at least a few people selling right now. Have you talked to Brian to see if he knows of any?

Nope, no luck. There is one on 7Club for sale now for $750 shipped with a Commander, but that's only $200 off (around 20%) of a brand spankin new PFC from Banzai. And yes, I called Banzai and they have them in stock, brand new, ready to ship for $950 + shipping.

Plus, I'm a little nervous buying another used one, LOL.

So I'm just going to hold out for a brand new one. It will work out better. Alas, I can not save money. Unless on the rare chance I can find a used PFC for sale locally...

Not much action on the FD front, thus far, but I did change the oil and filter on the truck. That was fun...

I've been real bored because I have the weekend off work, my woman is out of town the entire weekend as well, and just to make matters worse, the bulb in my 50" Sony blew on Thursday! I ordered a new one, but I won't have it until Friday.

It's a good TV, SXRD Series, 50", 1080p HD Hi-Def, enough inputs on the back to connect 5 of anything you want, etc etc, but I up here in this elevation I just don't think the bulbs last. It's blowing every 11 months now, on the dot. So, I'm probably going to upgrade to a fresh new 65" Panasonic plasma soon, haha!

Anyways, been thinking of stuff to do for the FD. One product I've heard a lot of good stuff about is the N2MB WOT Box, I know a lot of Speed guys here use it. http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotbox

In case you don't know, it's basically a box that allows you to do a "no-lift shift"- keep your foot on the gas, push in the clutch, grab the next gear, let out the clutch, and go. The difference here is the N2MB box interrupts ignition timing (like a 2-step) when it senses you're WOT and have the clutch pedal depressed.

It's a nifty little box, but FD transmissions aren't known for the ability to take abuse, and the FD isn't listed as a compatible car. The biggest difference is the three coils for ignition (1 leading coil for both leading plugs, 2 trailing coils for each trailing plug on the FD), and the WOT Box only has 1 coil output wire, although I don't see why I couldn't splice that into all the coils. The problem there is the leading and trailing coils are usually running difference timing...

And I am still heavily considering doing the tan to black interior swap. I wouldn't need much, but I'm worried about getting the OEM Tan carpet out LOL. You really have to gut the interior to remove it.

The main reason it's appealing is my tan leather seats are in pretty rough shape right now, so I want to them re-covered anyways. If I do it, I might has well get them recovered in black leather and just do the interior swap, LOL.

It swapped out my tan carpet. It really wasn't that bad.
