I added a new trans mount on my car. The old one worked fine but was hard. this was causing quite a but of vibration from the motor. When I put the new one in it made a big change on riding quality while driving down the interstate. If anyone has an old rx-7, I would recommend doing this. It only cost $35.
Does anyone have any questions or comments on my build? I'm surprised I've had none.

When I have the money, haha. I will be installing the new coils and a summit ignition box.
The redline of a stock 12a is about 8k but my car didn't pull well past 7k.
My car has upgraded apex seals so it is 9k but I probably will not push it past 8k.

here is the box I'm getting:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2D850602&N=700+4294925143+400304+115&autoview=sku
here are the coils I'm getting:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MSD%2D8222&N=700+4294925143+400122+115&autoview=sku
I will be doing direct fire on the leading and use the distributer for the trailing so I will need 3 coils.
I will also be relocating the battery to the rear pasanger side bin with this:
http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SUM%2DG1230&N=700+4294925143+400304+4294862977+115&autoview=sku
The existing battery location will become the new location for the ignition box and third coil.
I will need about $400+ to do all this.

Ok two other things I'm working on doing.
I have an electric fan out of a ford taurus with a 3.8L. This fan has 2 speeds and is one of the best ever made. It pulls more cfm then an aftermarket fan. And it fits right on a first fen RX-7 with a tall radiator (83-85).
I will be using the the low speed with a Painless Performance FAN-THOM Electric Fan Relay Kits
I will be have the high speed on swich that I can uses when it is needed.
Edit: low 2500CFM and high 4500CFM
I also have a FC front mount oil cooler to install. I will be making custom oil lines for this.

Well it is time to do my rear brakes. They went on the way home yesterday from work. I was driving up the entrance ramp to I-25 at cimarron and I hear a bang, klunk klunk klunk. I pull over and one of the pads just fell off. I limped it home with the pad pulled out.
I'm going do it right and get new rotors, calipers, caliper brackets, pads, hardware, etc. I'm leaving the brake lines for now until I do the front brakes then I will be doing SS lines.

Yikes! I'm glad it didn't happen upon deceleration. OEM replacement rotors ect, or aftermarket stuff?

Not that easy to do but re-speed has a kit. http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=108_112_22_73&products_id=204&osCsid=c092a39b8b4fc3056e067ddb6ba4c520
The problem is I would need a rear from an '84 or 85' gsl and I would need to new axles http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=108_112_69&products_id=183&osCsid=c092a39b8b4fc3056e067ddb6ba4c520
And you can't forget new wheels. Not worth it in my eyes.

At some point I will be getting big brakes in the front. If I had endless income, I could think up a really cool custom setup.
