I made a bracket to one of the P/S bolt locations. I will snap a pic of it later today.

So I made some good progress tonight. Mounted the FPR to the UIM, plugged in the remaining of the engine harness plugs, and bolted the UIM to the LIM with a new gasket. Ran the vacuum hoses for the MAP sensor and got everything all hooked up.

Just when I thought I was making good progress, I was going through my tool cart and I saw something...a plastic bag holding two primary injector diffusers...motherfu......so now I have to rip just about everything apart to get the primary rail out to put the diffusers on. I'm really hoping I can get the primary rail out without removing the secondary fuel rail or any of the fuel hoses, but I doubt it. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back ugh.

Silver lining is at least I found this now and not later when firing the engine up and having a fuel leak or a large vacuum leak, since the diffusers also seal the injector tip. Oh well.

Made progress this morning. Ripped off the UIM and the FPR and got the primary ail out without removing the secondary rail. Not a fun task but I managed it somehow haha. Getting the diffusers in was another story....what a pain in the ###! They have a tab that needs to be lined up so whenever I got them in the hole, they of course wouldn't be lined up properly. After about 20 minutes, I finally got them in.

Primary rail when back in with the rail spacer, which I forgot before as well, and tightened all the fittings. Plugged all sensors back in and got the UIM installed. I also re-routed the turbo oil feed since I thought it looked weird. Finally, I got the AEM WBO2 sensor installed in the downpipe as well.

Lastly, I plugged in the PFC to the engine harness and got the Datalogit in there as well. I was also removed the AEM patch harness that was installed before since I don't need it anymore with my modified single turbo harness, and I removed the recall patch harness for the fans since I dont need it anymore as well.

I turned the key on and the pfc and commander fired right up! What a relief! Went to the sensor check screen and everything is reading properly (except for the MAP sensor, which hasn't been reprogrammed in the pfc yet). Wahoooooo!

Heres a pic of how I left the car for now,

Looks good!

I did the same thing last night. Realized that I wanted to use a larger vacuum hose for the OMP injectors. Such a PITA to get it back today with the UIM half connected and the LIM and everything else in the way LOL.

Thanks Eric!

Well, according the good folks at the postal service, the oil filler neck should be here either today or tomorrow! So I'm getting her topped off with coolant tonight and then installing the neck whenever it comes in. I moved up my start up time to this Thursday.

I also ordered a new fuel door kicker/spring thing from Mazdatrix as mine fell apart and I couldn't open the fuel door. Really pumped to get this pig fired up!!

I plan on it, Eduardo!

I got the oil neck in so the car is 100% back together! It's just missing oil and coolant. I'm waiting for Matt to come over to fire her up, so probably tomorrow. I'll be sure to post a video!!

Good luck getting that coolant leak fixed.

I know it sucks man, but like I said on the phone, it could have been worse. And at least that's the only problem you have, and hopefully the only one you will have. Once you fire it up and don't notice any other problems, you'll be happy you didn't light it on fire lol.

Thanks Jamie and Eric!

The leak Eric is referring to is coming for a WELD on my radiator neck. Son of a bitch, Defined Autoworks! It's small, but has some good drops. Ive talk to some people and I think I will get some epoxy to seal it since its small, then remove the radiator later down the road to get it professionally welded, or even welded on the car if possible.

Other than that, no other leaks, coolant or oil, to report. The other problem is the car is struggling to take on coolant. I got my quart of Redline water wetter in, the probably a half gallon of distiller water and then it just stopped wanting to take on water. Really weird. I left about a quart of antifreeze in the burping funnel overnight and this morning it was gone so it took it. Its just real slow to fill, really odd. I was worried maybe I installed the thermostat backwards, but I don't even think its possible? Kind of odd.

Haha, there is a "tingy/rattling noise", I think you can even hear Matt and I talking about it. I thought it was the water pump...turns out it was the large tooth on the timing wheel hitting a fitting on my thermostat for the oil cooler.

Matt finally figured it out and we loosened the fitting and swiveled it out of the way and re-tightened it, good to go!

For now I just have a largeish exhaust leak at the turbo/downpipe joint and that's basically it, other than the leak on the radiator neck. Just little details now.

The car even fires right up, settles into a smooth idle around 12-12.5 AFR, and is rock solid. Coolant temps hold around 85-86*C. It runs really well haha.

I'm surprised it doesn't hunt for idle going from non-ported to ported. But that's awesome lol, and great to see it practically back on the road.
