The stock batteries aren't the best batteries thats for sure. The cold cranking amps aren't really the problem though. You need to make sure that you have some but most "24r"s are going to have enough to be alright. The problem lies in the quality of the battery. Autozone and advanced auto parts don't have the quality of battery needed to fix the problem either. I am not 100% sure that putting a good battery in there is going to fix the problem but maybe you had a few bad batteries right off the shelf or something(most likely some other problem)*shrug*. Like I have said and will always say, don't buy autozone or napa or any of those shitty batteries expecting much because they are...shitty batteries.
