Hey everybody first off I would like to say I am happy to be part of the rotary family with exception of the CMZC family.

Their was some stuff I wanted to get for my 2005 RX-8 6 Speed MT, I was wondering about everybody's imput on this.

First: I wanted to get a RP mid-pipe with a Greddy SP2 exhaust

Second: I wanted to get a MSD 6AL2 Ignition upgrade, with iridum spark plugs, and 8mm performance spark plug wires.

Third: If so I would like some suggetions on what to get for this car.

I chatted with Greek8 a little on this and he helped me a little (THANK YOU GREEK 8) I was wanting to see what all the other rotary people out their thinks.

I would greatly appreciate this and thank you.

What is it you're looking to do with the car? That'll influence a lot of suggestions. Thus far, to my RX8, I've done suspension/brake and some very light interior cosmetic type stuff.

I would also ask you what you are looking for? Are you planning on autocross, drag, street all around, etc.

I would like to put an exhaust on the car I wanted to go with the Greddy SP2 so I was wondering if I put the supercat on their would it quiet the sound a little so it would be legal, and I wanted an ignition upgrade, and some engine dress up for now. I was going for the All around street.

the supercat should help with the sound but I've never used one so I may be wrong.

Any of you RX-8 guys considerd the Racing Beat exhaust? Just curious, I don't think anyone ever made a better exhaust for the earlier rotaries.
Here's the link for Mazdatrix:

Those guys are very knowledgeable, and easy to deal with.

And if you want to use an MSD I would recommend contacting them for info on which unit will work with your ignition the best.
MSD tech questions

They will send you the schematic to wire the module correctly.

The RP Supercat and the GReddy SP2 exhaust will definitely be louder than stock. Heck, the Supercat and stock exhaust will be louder than stock. Of any of the above, the "quietest" combination would be stock cat with the GReddy exhaust. That would be the most legal too, but we don't need to get into that.

I've gone back and forth between the RB exhaust and MS. The RB was actually ordered but the delivery kept getting screwed up (along with the RX7store hi-flow cat) so I ended up canceling it. Odds are, when I get ready to get back to the exhaust, I'll get the RB.
