hello good people. New here today, and I've already benefited from the thread on What to Tell the POlice About Your Missing Front Plate (I've been driving w/out the plate & bracket for several months now, was vaguely wondering about legality).

But now to the really Burning Question. When I picked up my '8 last fall I hesitated between galaxy grey and phantom blue, which i personally thought were the two most fab colors (though I think the 8 is gorgeous in every color). Finally went with grey bc it was the only GT 6 on that particular lot. But apparently this blue & grey thing isn't a totally minority view since every other 8 I've seen in/around Denver has been one of these colors -- I know there have to be some black, silver, red & white ones but honestly I've seen not a one in the past 10 months. So, People of the 8: what is your color, and why? I'm working on a theory of gender and sportscar color choices, but so far this is being fed more by mustang gt and 350z owners, who clearly can't be held accountable for any of the choices they've made.

Also, has anyone actually ridden in your back seats? Dogs count as well. I think this may also correlate with color choice but, again, I'm not going to say how :6820a4ad::

UPDATE: thanks folks for the responses so far. To this point we've got 2 greys, a blue, a (former) silver, a white and Zuhalter's cherry shinka. Any bright reds on the front range? also we need to hear more from the Ladies. thanks all.

Mine is Galaxy Grey. Why bc i saw it at Front Range Honda, and im an idiot and impulsively bout it without lookin at mazda in motor city. Either way i woulda got an 8 but the grey one was the only one at honda.

When we had our 8 we had the sunlight silver (think thats the correct name?) We got the silver cause my husband works for Burt and it came in as a used deal, a deal we couldn't pass up.

We had people sit in the back seat MANY times.. mostly me cause I'm only 5'3, and my mom. I wouldn't recommend it for a very long drive, but they can be pretty comfortable.

I have a Winning Blue. Why because next to the sunlight silver it was on of the top colors of the 8. But My fav color is blue so I went with that.

I have sat in the back seat, so have many other people, My Doberman did breifly but he fored his way up to the front seat and layed across the center console and on my arm. Made shifting a difficult task. I also have had 2 Chiuauas back there but they to jump into the front seat.

I've only seen about 3 other blue 8's besides mine. The top color I'v noticed is some sort of gray. This club is over run with gray. It's a safe nuetral and boring color. :P

<~~~~ Black Cherry Mica, why? It was the Shinka Special Edition color. I'm a sucker for the rarity factor and enjoy knowing there are only roughly 1250 of them out there.

Yes people have ridden in the back, never the dogs though.

Whitewater Pearl. I disagree that its a boring color and once its washed up (not today) it's the best color choice. Once i seen a Rx in white i had no more hope. It was SOLD!

Whit is the nicest of the boring colors. ;) And I think you are still the only one in the club with white.

Ti Gray here, primarily because I wanted an RX8, wanted it used, and had a choice between this, white, and black. Preferred the ti gray to the other colors, although Velocity Red or Copper Red would be my top choices.

Gotta love that Winning Blue, baby! It's loud and proud! (oh crap, isn't that the mantra for the Gays and Lezbians?).
Anyway, grays and silvers are a dime a dozen. Ditto on white. And black is a bitch to keep clean. I wouldn't mind seeing a dark green metallic if Mazda sprayed the 8s with that. Anybody know?

Oh, and welcome to the Rotary world!
