Rx8 Exhaust

Hey RX buddies,

I have been talking to them for a while and i have a few options:

1. I order several mufflers and we have to get our own midpipe
2. I order several full systems direct from the Tiwan (where they are produced) to save some money
3. I can have the ability to order several full systems with what ever sizing i want. This is a quote off my most recent email: (Another one serious point is with this way I can design the middle system in any diameter you may need (now we using 64mm-2 ½”) with or without converter. If we replace the converter with a muffler the sound will remain the same but the price will be less. The only problem is that the RX8 is Euro 3 standard car so the ‘engine check’ lamp may flash if we replace the converter.

We also can change the diameter and material of tips. )

So, what do you all think?

hey man it's nice but to me it don't sound like a rotary... if you know what i mean try going with a system from apexi.

I will have to do some research on the apexi system. I havn't looked at them yet. To be honest, i have heard the Greedy, Mazdaspeed, Borla, and countless others but to me this one sounded the most like a rotory. Of course, i have yet to hear any in person.

well on mine i have a custom gerage fabed Magna flow 2 1/2 straight pipe with no cats on my 88" 7 so it's all up to the driver but i like the sound of mine but also the apexi cat backs are kown for their performance

jacking the thread, I don't have a rotary, but I too have a custom axle back exhaust, sadly no gains performance wise,
but it looks and sounds darn pretty. I would also note my entire system was about 1/2 the cost some of the packages

I too have a Magnaflow Muffler Custom piped cat back. Left the cats in. i might make one a dummy one in the future.

To be honest, all the exhaust systemss I've heard for the car sound pretty much the same. They are either louder or quiter. At idle they are all pretty much silent. My assumption that they all sound the same may be because I havn't heard one in person other than mine but have heard several online.

Well i am considering this option. I like the sound. I will be looking into all my options and making a purchase sometime after the new year. If there is anyone who is also looking for an exhaust at that time just let me know and we can try to work out a deal.

I'll let you know. Right now I'm still leaning towards the MS dual sport.
