Emission Testing :(

Hey everyone, there is a pretty good chance that my car will not pass emission testing in Weld County. Anyone know of a workaround/loop hole/shady emission testing station that could help get an Rx-7 back on the road?

What do you guys do who have highly modified cars? Anyone familiar with E85 emissions vs gasoline emissions?

I used to live in Brighton (near the border of Weld and Adams), and my understanding at the time, was that Weld County did not have emission testing on vehicles. I had lots of friends who went to BHS with me, but lived north of WCR2, so they always lucked out because of this, with their hotrods and beaters...

This of course, was a few years ago. Does Weld now do emissions testing?

Yes, part of Weld and all of Larimer county do emissions now. Since about 2 years ago.

Thanks, Ill give you a shout this weekend speedjunkie.

Yep, both those counties have emissions. I heard, and this could be just a wives tale, that Denver was having trouble meeting pollution standards so they started looking at the surrounding counties.

Hey chickenwafer, I hear you have a pretty sweet 12a project going on.

Haha I don't have a 12a project. Matt (Alpha here on the forum) has one going on. He's swapping a 12a into his MG Midget. It's nearly done, should be a handful of fun.
