I'm not mature enough for a turbo, though a lot of the guys with turbos aren't mature enough for them either...
If you guys end up at Finn McCools, I'll probably swing by just to check out the cars though.

Man you're not kidding. I'll update the post once a location is settled on.

Finn McCools really won't leave very easy access for a good cruise, so I doubt that would be the best spot. It would be a pretty central location to attract people from the Springs the whole way up through North Denver though.

When I have driven my freinds old sti, it was impossible to not have a grin from ear to ear. Boost is like crack.

One thing I've found when going back to driving boosted cars, like my friend's 2011 STi, it's strange getting used to all the power being in the midrange again. Turbo 4 cylinders tend to really die off on the top end. So you have to shift a boosted 4 differently than I shift my Mustang. My Mustang pretty much just keeps pulling all the way to redline, and it's not as powerful in the low-mid range, but in my friend's STi, if you try to go all the way to redline it just falls on its face.

The size of turbo you are running makes a huge difference. The stock VF series on the WRXs and STIs are chosen because the have little lag and good midrange. The Speed 3/6 is a more extreme example as you know. Ton of power down low and NOTHING up top. Swap in a 30 series and the entire power band changes. I think mine was making peak power at 6k rpm and the drop off it had past that was tiny. It pulled hard all the way till the rev limiter.
That said I do miss the top end of the 3076. The VF52 makes more power than the K04 on the speed but the pull near redline isnt nearly what the 3076 was.

Let me just say I wish that were the case for my n/a Legacy. Makes absolutely no power until like 5000-5500 rpm (6500 rpm redline). At least, that's what it feels like to me.
I have no real useful input for this topic though lol.
Have fun all you speed3 owners!
