The trackday last Friday was just awesome, and got me and some others to thinking how cool it would be to a combined meet and trackday. In a couple of weeks or so we will be shaking down the #8 car, so how about we make it an event? We can bring out the canopies, maybe a grill, and those not actually driving thier cars out on track can hang out and support those that are!

I will check the schedule as well as our plans and see what works out, but would like to get some input as well as an idea as to how many would actually be interested in doing this and as always looking for any input.

Would this be on one of HPR's HPDE days? I would definately be interested if its on a day off.

I have the Pikes Peak Hillclimb this month along with my sons 1 year birthday, so probably would not be until July for me either!

When and where? I'd be willing to go. Where can I find the rules to see what safety equipment is required for a street Miata and a permited (15 year old) daughter? Will we need a roll bar?

For the Miata you will need a roll bar (required for all convertibles) and I believe your daughter can drive after signing a minor waiver.

For June, the available days are the 3rd, the 17th, and the 24th. I personally cannot do the 3rd, the 17th might be a little hard to make work but is possible, and no way on the 24th (last day of practice on the mountian for Pikes Peak.
July 8TH looks to be the best day for me to make it out, and I can probably bring both the #7 and #8 RX8's as well as the RX7.

I guess this means I need to get busy with my new track wheels, new tires and new front pad plans. Provided work isn't too busy, I'll be there for sure.

The 8th is possible for me...but Id have a rough night that night! haha...

July 15th would be spectacular for me since its a day off...but if you guys did do it on the 8th i might be able to swindle it off or something...
