So after the success of today's cruise, I think we should start planning another! The general plan is to start about the same place, but we are going to end in Denver this time. So here's the info:
Date: Sunday, May 22nd, 2011
I think it would be nice to do it on May 22nd as it's the day after Armed Forces Day, so we can thank our veterans and everyone that's currently enlisted for their service to our wonderful country.
Meeting place:
Home Depot
4277 S Eldridge Street
Morrison, CO 80465
Departure time: 2-3PM (start meeting up about 2 and give people until about 3 to show up, then head out for the drive at about 3). This will put us back in Denver at about 6:30 if things work out similar (like how much time we spend taking pictures compared to the last cruise). This will leave time to get some dinner somewhere when we get back, then have the Starbucks meet afterwards.
One of the goals of the cruise: If you want to call it a goal, then go ahead. But it would be pretty awesome have at least one of every kinda of Mazda (well, not expecting like an RX3 or anything). Like an FB, FC, FD, RX-8, 3, 6, speed3, speed6, mx-5, speed mx-3, cx-7/9, as many different models as possible.

From The Home Depot:
1. Take C-470 to I-70. then drive over Lookout Mountain
2. Go over Lookout Mountain and end up back at 6th Ave Freeway in Golden
3. Take 6th Avenue Freeway to US-6
4. Follow US-6 all the way up to the Blackhawk/Central City area to CO-119
5. Take CO-119 all the way to Boulder
6. Take US-36/I-25 to the Starbucks on Colorado Blvd
Note: The ending location might change, but you still have the idea of what the main cruise part is.
Total Distance: 74 miles to Boulder, and a total of 110 back to Denver
Estimated driving time: ~3 hours
Estimated total time (including stops): ~4 hours, maybe a little more
Rules!
1.During the cruise itself, please don't street race one another. Street racing is gay.
2.Please be somewhat respectful of other drivers on the road. It will look even cooler if we all aren't acting like a-holes to other drivers.
3.Have fun
4.And most importantly, be nice to your fellow friends and club members! Cruises suck when we end up mad at one another.

may i suggest this route.
I went off which road had more curvy roads. and nice places for pictures. it also goes back to denver where there is a huge parking lot for pictures after the cruise and everyone can split. for those in co springs they may not want to travel up to boulder. but that's just me.

Thanks for the link! I've changed the post to have that instead. I think a better ending spot would be the Cherry Creek Mall though. And I know of a park right near the mall if anyone wants to go over there. And I take it you want to come Alex? Or you too worried about another blow out

yeah I'm coming just need to make sure i'm not busy that day. i think my graduation party may fall on that week, well that's if my family even wants to celebrate it anyway i'll be there even if it means coming in the ford explorer lol you did say as many different models right
oh and the mall sounds okay to me, as long as we stick together and not split up in Denver.

We need to be a bit more organized. If people have walkie-talkies we need to start bringing them out; so incase anyone gets lost - like what happened (kinda) today. But other than that

Either way. I just stuck with the 10-11 again as that's what seemed more popular for the last cruise and we also don't end extremely late. Maybe we could leave at about between like 2 and 3 and end up making a Starbucks meet out of it at the end? Get some dinner somewhere once we get back? The Cherry Creek area in general has plenty of places to eat and hang out. Nothing is set in stone yet, just kinda trying to plan it out. Can always change things I just don't think we should wait until too late in the afternoon because if we are getting back too late, there's still everyone who will have to drive back home which can be quite far for Springs folk and the NoCo members that live up near Fort Collins and Loveland.

Alright, time changed to 2-3. This should put us back in Denver at about between about 6 and 6:30, 7 at the latest if we run in to traffic or end up spending a bit longer taking pictures than we did today.
