Due to popular vote, this Sunday November 18th, our cruise location will no longer take place at Lookout Point, but will now take place at Red Rocks.

Our official morning meet will still take place at Coors Field, but the meet time has changed, we will now be meeting there at 10:30am as opposed to noon. From there, we will cruise down to Red Rocks and meet up with the guys from AWDPirates, they are planning on meeting at 11am. We'll take I-70 to 470 to get from Coors Field to Red Rocks. Here's the Red Rocks meet thread over there:

Here's the thread I made over there:

http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27767

Here is the parking lot we well be meeting at Red Rocks, just to make it clear:

After the meet, we'll break off from the AWDPirates guys, and take the following route through a nice little mountain path, that will come out at I-70:

Anyone wanting to make a longer "spirited drive" through mountain roads, we might make provisions to head down the backside of Mt Evans. Although if we stay on the route above coming out at I-70, we can take it back to the metro area, where we can go and grab a bite to eat. As of right now, this is the current list:

1. arctic_blue83 (STI)
2. MS3_Mafia (Mazdaspeed 3)
3. Columbia28 (Mazdaspeed 3)
4. Sleepy Buffalo (RX-8)
5. Huzer (RX-8)
6. 6i_guy (Mazda 6I)
7. bobopud (Mazdaspeed 6)
8. Lightnin McQueen (Mazdaspeed 6)
9. Greek8 (RX-8)
10. OpacRX (RX-8) *Possibly*
11. jdmsp (Mazdaspeed Protege)
12. MazdaTom (Protege) *Maybe*

**The following members from the "Lookout Point Thread" have not checked in, but will hopefully chime in soon: Regulator, Spatty, TheNewBlack, Crm & lokoebird**

This is going to be a damn fun meet! Probably one of the better ones we're going to get in before the snow starts falling, so let's try to get as big of a turnout as we can, too many names on here, and not enough faces to match them with. Anyway, see you guys on Sunday!

I voted to go to Red Rocks before... some of us attended the previous AWDPirates Red Rocks Meet in the summer and I thought it was cool!

Doesn't matter though, whatever the consensus is...

I agree, the Red Rocks meet this summer was fun, and there are plenty of twisty mountain roads up at Red Rocks for a more "spirited cruise" lol.

Hmm... Im on the fence with this one. I do want to do the mountain run, so i dont want this to turn into a meet and greet and then go our separate ways... but i do want to meet up with the subaru crew as well. So im throwing this out there: meet up with the suby crew and then after a bit split and go on the mountain run. What do you guys and gals think?
Edit: when i say mountain run i dont necessarily mean the exact mountain from the original meet, or any significant mountain for that matter, just a nice sorta twisty non-citiy street type cruise.

The guy i took to the spring meet a couple of weekend ago, is on the AWD Pirates. So i am always down to hang out with them.

Except, the last time they all got together, there were over 50 subsi and mics awd vehicles and me in the Rx. When they took a pic, i was behind the camera man shouting "Ok...Everybody say...Mazda".

They didn't like that too much.

But I was supposed to slide the Escape all around the Coors Field parking lot! I'm up for either, although it's obviously more fun to meet up just a few blocks from my place. Hehe.

Yeah, the last AWDPirates meet I went to, when I still had my Mazdaspeed 6, we had a handful of Mazda's, and probably around 100 Subies & Mitsu's lol. It was fun though.

I vote where there is food.... [img]http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img] I like Andrew's idea, a meet/greet and then off to a mountain run, so I guess this negates the premeet at coors then? and I was hoping to see Tim roll, I mean drift in in g/f's escape.... If we do decide to go to the Red Rocks Meet... We could all meet up at the gas station off C470/Morrison by Bandimere. Then all roll in together.

Just an idea...

What about still meeting at coors field and cruising over to red rocks as a group, then splitting off early to do our own thing?

By the way, unless work beckons, I am in for this meet.

So far, it looks as though the majority would like to head to Red Rocks.... so I think you might be driving slightly more than a few blocks lol.

If by tomorrow, the majority of this poll is still in favor of Red Rocks, I'll edit this & the other thread to reflect directions to Red Rocks. If we do go to Red Rocks, for a short(er) mountain run, I've found what looks like it would be a damn fun little route to take after the meet, what do you guys think:
Image

And if you guys want to make a longer run, we could always make a run down the backside of Mt Evans...

I think all of us "south side" guys were going to meet up to roll to Coors, and by south side, me and Lee were thinking myself, Lee, Andrew, Guido ect.
