Working with glass is not that hard. Cutting is easy. Finishing a cut edge is a bit more work (artist). Getting the lower half of the hood (hinge points and latches) to work for the car will be the biggest hurdle. Is the old hood that is being replaced a glass hood?

That is kind of where I was going. If the old hood is glass and is not getting sold. It MAY be possible to use it as a pattern and steal the underside and Frankenstein the two halves together. If you are not a master of glass and body finishing (the artistic craftsman) then you would be way ahead getting the proper hood and selling the two you have now. That may not be the answer you wanted, but I am not a body guy. My strengths are in fabrication and things mechanical (sometimes I cook and sew).

You're like the swiss army knife for this club!

O.K it is on the list! We will look in to what it'll take to do your hood surgery. What other projects are we doing?

My radiator hose replacement with the thermostat. This includes replacing the coolant. I should also be getting my Redline Tuning Hood Quicklift kit and my Corksport LED kit. If my skid plate still isn't on by then then probably that too.
Shouldn't take too long... right?

How do you like the ride with your new setup?
I love it
The only issues I have involve the brutal railroad tracks near campus. Other than that, I've had very few clearance issues. I think you'll like them2004 Mazda3s Hatchback: Totalled

Lyssa, your jobs will be easy! The springs will take a bit more work, but I do have jacks, stands, spring compressors and air tools if needed. If you can do it in a 1/2 hour per corner - you will be the first person I'd hire when I assemble a pit crew! Will the car need an immediate alignment?

I will try to help out and bring tools too.
1/2 hr. per corner would be hauling *** for sure, but honestly it's going to take a bit longer than that! When it comes to my car, I don't like to rush anything.
It rides nice and straight now, but you're right, it should get an alignment afterwards.
