Although for the price of an SCCA autox, you can do a session (maybe 2) of good karting at The Track or Erie IMI. The only downside is that you don't get to drive your own car.
A NASA track event would also be cool, but I suspect that the ~$150 entry fee + $65 membership fee would keep it a small meet.[/b]
Yeah... Sad that money becomes an issue. But it happens with everything we do. However if people want to increase their driving skills, push thier car to it limits safely, and have fun it well worth the invest.
Personally I find it sad that owners of all makes are quick to buy that new CAI for $300+ but refuse to attend a HPDE ($150-$300) to frist learn what the car can do and/or learn that they aren't the great driver that they think. LOL So if anyone ever has a chance to attend a HPDE I highly encourage skipping that next mod and going.
