Dyno Meet :: Date October 25th! 9 am :: $25 a car to dyno!

Once we can get a date nailed down, I think more peeps will sign up. I just have oncall weekends, and an out of town trip scheduled. As long as it doesn't fall on one of those, I'm in.

And jumping around to different dynos doesn't thrill me. Get a number from one dyno, do something to the car, go to a different dyno..... the difference between the numbers is meaningless.

And I have 2 trips coming up and lots of other weekend's scheduled.

I guess I will play devil's advocate here. If the dyno day is October 25th, I won't be able to attend, however, even if it was on a day that I had available I still don't think I would dyno my car.

Many of us already have baseline runs at one of the other dynos in the area. Getting another baseline at another dyno would just be a waste of money unless you were going to go with that dyno for all of your future dyno and tuning sessions.

Dyno runs have no comparison between dynos. They are only comparable on the same dyno in similar atmospheric conditions. This dyno day just sounds like a waste of money, eventhough $25 for a baseline is one hell of a deal, unless you are switching dyno shops or just starting your dyno addiction.

I don't want to take anything away from those that helped to set this up, that is one hell of a deal and I applaud your efforts.

Do I agree with your statement Tom hell yes I do. But at the same time am I trying and all the other moderators trying to get the best deal for the members themselves? Yes.

If you want to stay at a certain place and we happen to move places throughout the year then go dyno there without the meet. That sounds worse than its ment I promise. We do Dyno days to help mitigate cost to the members and still get them numbers.

At the same time I dont see anyone trying to set up dyno days at other places so.... yeah.

Understandable. Just trying to shed light on why some people might be wondering "where is everyone? why hasn't anyone signed up for this yet?"

$25 is a hell of a deal though, can't deny that.

Also seeing as this will be one of the last -big- meets before winter to me who cares where its at? Lets just get together to hang out before winter hits... Thats just me though.

I've never dyno'd the 944, and $25 is good price. Actually, I will bring the FD if it's running by this time, never had it on the dyno either.

Like Josh said, we are trying to get the club the best price we can for the club.

Frank over at SR Tuning knows what he is doing. He is a great guy and treats his customers right. There are a few in this club that can tell you about the quality of his work.

i agree with Josh (for once), its the end of the year, we should just look at it as a year end meet, the $25 dyno pulls are just an added bonus.. its works with me, since this will be a base dyno for me anyways..
How many pulls do we get for the $25?
Are we having lunch with this also?

Are others allowed to do dynos also? I have a friend who wants to dyno his truck

ANYONE CAN DYNO. I don't care if they are on this site or not.

I believe 3 pulls just like any other dyno. Chris can clarify.

* you plan to dyno. If you just plan to be there for support leave the * off. This way we can get the dyno shop a number of cars that will be dynoing.

It is three pulls from what I understand. I'm working on getting all the details worked out.

I has asked for a few people to help strapping cars down so he can just work the dyno. I'm going to be going along to help out.

I would like to be added to the list for support group, but I need to know where this will be at before I can commit. Depends on how much gas it will take to get me there. Could I know where this will be?????????
