We sure wish you could have been here. Let us know when we can give you a hand.

Eric,
I'll be bringing the 7 around, but i'm not sure what all rest I can do on the car. I'm going to (out of fear of breaking down driving up there) fix my water pump Saturday night after I get off work. I do have a vacuum leak somewhere (I'm thinking other than my really huge exhaust leak and needing to do a block-off plate for the smog pump that's not there anymore). Maybe we can take a look at that.
RX-7 Chris fixed my shitt.y idle the other day but it's back again. I'm wondering if it's from the huge butt leak and stuff? Either way, I'll be there Sunday to chill and all

I'm also bringing the power window regulator I have for the passenger side in case people are bored after I get the motor mounts in and want another project, heh. I have the switch and a bunch of electrical connectors but no wire to bring though.

I have some 10 12 14 gauge wire of different lengths. How much are you looking for. I also have electrical tools (wire crimps, slicers, etape, etc.)

I don't know if I need wire that thick. I have some speaker wire too but it's too thick for this purpose. Thicker it is, harder it is to get it fed through the holes in the door. The 14ga. might work though. I only need enough to go from the motor in the door up under the dash into the center console to the switch, so maybe 15ft total for everything? Something like that. I'm bringing a kit that includes a crimper, tape, connectors, etc.

Damn good meeting most of you guys today! After my brother and I left, we ended up going to Bandimere, but it was pretty late by the time we got there, not a lot of time for runs. My first pass, and first time launching the car, I babied it off the line at maybe ~2800-3000rpm, and pulled a 13.914@102.31mph, which, not too bad for a ~3800 lbs AWD car, with half a tank of gas, a car seat in the back and a set of jumper cables & small air compressor in the trunk haha. Only thing the car has is a Cobb AP stage 1 flash, other than that, bone stock.
Ran against a new Camaro SS in the left slip, not sure what he had done to it. In the right slip, I tried another pass right before, attempting to launch around ~4500, and it would have been a damn good pass I think if the clutch didn't stick to the floor
I had to completely let off the gas, shift to 2nd early, and push the clutch down a couple times just to get it off the floor. My guess, if my clutch didn't stick, I would have pulled a much better 60 ft on that run, and ran somewhere around mid 13's at ~103-ish:

In contrast, these were the best times for my brother's LS2 powered 400hp '06 GTO 4AT:

Either way, had a damn good time at the install meet, and a good time (albeit short) at Bandimere afterwards. Hope to see everyone next time out, and maybe I'll even be able to bring my Mazda to a Mazda meet haha!

Thanks man! Considering it was my first time ever launching the car, and today's DA was 7700', I was fairly happy with it
With my in it, as well as all the junk in the car (half tank of gas, car seat, jumper cables, air compressor ect), I'm sure the car weighed in at ~4000-4100 lbs, so it's not too shabby for an AWD, 4-door family sedan that, other than an OTS map, is otherwise stock haha.
The Camaro SS actually trapped better than I thought it would up here... I was shocked. A good time today for sure
With a good launch on a cool day, I'm thinking I can probably run mid-low 13's trapping around 103-104mph, but we'll see.
