I went with Cooling Mist as I'm on a tight budget, and it was less expensive than D. Own, Snow Performance, AEM, or Aqua Mist.

Just to be clear I still believe Harvey is a solid tuner (although he's never tuned anything of mine and probably never will) but he can be pretty absent minded sometimes, and his sense of humor isn't always funny and can come across as rather crass.
If I was in Eric's shoes I would feel the same way. I don't remember seeing the gauge or anything about it probably because I was starting to build a map when I happened. I'm not sure if it overheating had anything to do with the bearing failure, but I'm positive it didn't help matters.
You live and learn, and some people just rub others the wrong way. Because of this, I may choose not to go back to Harvey for the rest of my own tuning and my customers tuning if this is how he treats people and how people feel after getting tuned by me at his location.

That's an awful experience. You trust a tuner to be a master at his craft...

I know one of the turbo Buick forums as TONS of info on water injection too, I just don't know what the site is. Huge help I am LOL.

Honestly I don't think the overheating had anything to do with the failure either, and I don't remember the coolant seals being all that bad when we tore down the engine, but I could be wrong. However, if the engine hadn't blown, I don't think it would have lasted much longer due to the overheating.
And don't choose to not use Harvey's dyno on my account, it wouldn't offend me at all if you decided to still use his dyno. I know I will never go back to him though. It seems as though others have had good experiences with him, but I wanted my experience to be known too. I'm not sure if that's why you're saying you may not go back, I just wanted you to know either way.

Yeah like Dave said, he wasn't doing the tuning, but I still expected him to be able to recognize problems with the car if he was sitting in the driver's seat instead of me lol. Honestly I would have rather been in the driver's seat just for that reason.

Yeah I think the main problem occurred on the way up there. I was still in gear and letting the car coast and suddenly the exhaust started making a different noise. I can't really explain it, but the closest thing I can think of is like a light gargling sound added to the normal exhaust noise lol. If I had to guess, that would be the time that the main problems started.
I kinda feel like we're hijacking Chad's weekend to get stuff done on his car and using the free labor to get stuff done on everyone elses' cars. After all, he is the one that just came back from active duty.

Agreed, this thread will go stale in a bit over a week. Chad started it, but it evolved into a club "Tech Day". I'm hoping those that need stuff done on their cars, or just want to learn how to do routine maintenance will come and learn from the "senior" members. My place is not a shop, but it is rather well equipped and I have room. Chad's car is center stage, but we can handle the others if we have the "help".
And there will be food!
