Not really. Sure, head over to the sonics at Federal Heights on Friday nights and you'll see some nip-rod ricers with fart can exhausts and colorful neon underglow to boot. On the other side of the fence however, there's a nice selection of good cars worth checking out. This will always be the case as the longer we are in with the scene, our preferences change, and our wallets get deeper. Meaning, we might think that painting the interior on our first honda was cool when we were 19, but fast forward a few years and you have a much nicer car with a new mentality of 'done that, not doing that again.' attitude. I mean, I've painted my interior before, I've painted my brake calipers even. I learned the hard way, but that is how most of us learn anyway!

p.s. I live my life 1/4 mile at a time.

I assume your referring to the car show. But Street Tuner Mayhem is not just a car show. Competitive racing is just as big or even a bigger part of the event. Less than 10% of the cars racing use NOS. Turbos and driver skill rule the track during Street Tuner Mayhem. The event gives us a forum to show as a club the spirit of the Mazda Zoom Zoom. We often put down and make fun of hondas on "riced rides" and "challenge" threads. The "challenge" thread is one of our longest. However the hondas and other Makes are out there showing up on the track and putting it on the line. Mazdas have been essentially MIA recently.

Like I said the volvos showed up, all of them racing. They earned allot of respect among the many that were there. And there were many people cheering on that red volvo station wagon kicking butt on the track. I'm sure it made for a fun day for the Volvo Club.

Bottom Line its about having fun and enjoying our Rides. And it always more fun sharing it with others and having the support of the Club.

I know what you guys mean... I used to be into all that stuff too when I was younger. Then that movie came out (F&F) and it ruined everything. I then removed EVERY thing (appearance wise including the coffee can exhaust LOL) from my car and back to stock.

I used to go to Bandi for the race and the show too until some gangsta wannabes started a fight and one of them got shot right in front of me.

ahhh, the good times...

The biggest surprise for me was the respresentation of Volvos competing on the track. They rolled in 7-8 strong as a group to the gate this morning. They had a Red 80's?? station wagon doing 12's.

I'm really considering getting a volvo c30. Idk. I just really like the car

Exactly...

Go live your life a quarter mile at a time and go on cruises and hang out at gas stations and talk about how badass 2 fast 2 furious your ride is. LOL.
Oh and don't forget to talk shit a lot (wait you already got that covered) and be all gangta and act all hard and sh*t. What a fag...

Funny some new guy that just joined the forum for less than a month just start talking sh*t. Sounds like a fag toolbag to me. Grow up and quit being a little b*tch.

Thanks for the pic Carl! I am excited to have another pic to add to my collection :) I will always have a special place in my heart for the Mazda Community! The Subie community can be tough to hang in at times :( There were a lot of amenities that I really miss about the speed6!
